Roughly the size of a domestic cat, the Wooly Opossum is omnivorous but largely responsible for keeping the Northern Scorpion population in check. If you’ve never found a scorpion in your boot in North Dakota, you have the Wooly Opossum to thank.
Special note: Even though the Wooly Opossum is a marsupial, they are considered too greasy and gamey to be a good ingredient in soups. Instead, let them live and fulfill their unique North Dakota ecological niche. Nature is wonderful.
