I don't think it's unreasonable to ask our mayors & city/municipal councils to cease giving more annual increases to police budgets without making body cams absolutely mandatory, with independent oversight. A bare minimum for public accountability & public transparency purposes.
I know that police won't be abolished in my lifetime. Another very common tactic, which is illegal but it's done more often than not - with impunity - targeting physically strong folks, who are consistently on frontlines - to break their knees/arms/ankles/wrist - by stomping on joints repeatedly. This brutal tactic is focused on physically disabling people who usually volunteer as supplies sherpas & take higher personal risks of civilian resistance - like doing tree-sits or locking down on a bridge cantilever.
