Washington.- El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, denunció este lunes que existe «una conspiración enfermiza» contra la inteligencia artificial (IA) y aseguró que esta tecnología no necesita más control que el hecho de que él sea el presidente del país.

«El único control o mecanismo de seguridad que necesita la IA es un presidente fuerte e inteligente (¡con un alto coeficiente intelectual!), ¡y Estados Unidos lo tiene de sobra!», escribió en la red Truth Social, en medio de la polémica desatada por las alertas de los líderes del sector sobre los crecientes riesgos de esta tecnología.

El republicano argumentó que su Administración «ha impedido que personas de la IA hagan cosas malas o potencialmente malas» y aseguró que ya existe un «enorme poder penal y regulatorio sobre estas empresas», por lo que no se necesita mayor regulación.

En medio de la nueva polémica alrededor de esta tecnología, Trump opinó que existe «una conspiración enfermiza contra la IA y los centros de datos y el único que está contenido con ello es China».

Trump insiste en la carrera por el avance de la IA

El líder estadounidense insistió en que Estados Unidos debe seguir liderando el avance de la IA frente al gigante asiático porque «¡quien gane en la IA, gana».

«¡Teóricos de la conspiración, sediciosos, traidores y filtradores: cuidado!», advirtió.

La nueva polémica la desató el sábado el director de Anthropic, Dario Amodei, cuando publicó un ensayo para urgir «un ritmo más lento» a la industria ante los crecientes riesgos de seguridad de la IA, una advertencia a la que se sumaron sus rivales Sam Altman, de OpenAI, y Elon Musk, de xAI, un hecho inédito en el sector. –sn–

WASHINGTON—#PresidentTrump threatened to change the name of Lake #Ontario to #LakeAmerica , in the latest escalation of tensions between the U.S. and Canada after trade negotiations between the two countries collapsed.
