Two people have died due to #measles in #Pennsylvania, the state Department of #Health said Tuesday. Both individuals were unvaccinated.

These are the first #US #deaths from measles reported in 2026 and the first in Pennsylvania in 35 years.

Blake Lemoine back in 22 claimed the Google LLM chatbot prototype he was tinkering with was conscious, and was rightly widely derided by an "AI" community large segments of which now seem willing to entertain the idea to various degrees.

We should recognise their argument for the non-contradication as the artificial neural net equivalent of eugenicists' skull measurements as indicative of how fully human someone is.

I think the best model is #decriminalisation of suicide

#AssistedDying being medicalised can very quickly drift towards #eugenics

The model should be that a person's genuine autonomy is the top priority and it should not be legally valid to take that away from them in either direction

It shouldn't be criminal for a loved one or doctor to be supportive of a decision someone has made to die, but it should be criminal to coerce someone towards that in even subtle ways.

#DecriminalisationOfSuicide also means that if someone is suicidal they get mental health care and not a police "welfare check" using physical force

While everyone is rightfully concerned about ICE’s new ‘Shock Gloves’, it’s important to know that shock devices have been used in prisons and schools for disabled children for years.

The Gloves killed an inmate in Kentucky after a guard held them to his body for well over a minute.

Disabled children are exposed to electric shocks to ‘correct’ their behaviour.

ICE should not have access to these weapons, but we must also fight to get them out of schools and jails.

We must refuse to accept atrocities.
