Saw a guy who was very diligent about wearing a mask whenever he was around anyone else in public, since he was determined to keep everyone safe. He even refused to take it off when people told him it was unnecessary and he was silly for always wearing it.
Unfortunately, the mask-wearing guy was #Spiderman in #BrandNewDay, and not someone who cared that #CovidIsNotOver.

@Garwboy Funny that you mention the pandemic as a cause, but not the fact that it's still going on, still infecting people, and still disabling people with Long Covid - an energy-limiting condition whose symptoms, if you've been programmed to believe that the pandemic is in the past, might be mistaken for other sources of lethargy such as depression.
The poverty you mention in your article is undoubtedly a factor, but it also means people in more precarious work with more face-to-face contact, who can't afford sick days, and who can't take precautions to protect their health.
Effective and cheap public health precautions such as enforcing ventilation and filtration regulations on schools, pubs, restaurants etc. would go a long way to curb Long Covid cases, which would have a knock-on improvement on peoples' mental health if they're not being forced to work through a disabling condition.
