  1. Québec has recorded an unprecedented rise in cases of #cyclosporiasis this summer, with 223 infections reported as of Aug. 1...

    FYI That's more than triple the average seen over the previous 4 years! montreal.citynews.ca/2026/08/0 #polQC #QCpoli #assnat #intestinalparasite #santeQC #QChealth #cdnpoli #polcan

  2. RE: mastodon.world/@somecanuckchic

Not to mention the data sovereignty... if you're so concerned about the health of Quebeckers, how about not allowing USA, etc. harvest our data w/ these stupid software contracts, etc.? #polQC #QCpoli #cdnpoli #polcan #assnat #santeQC #QChealth

  3. We already have TeleHealth which triages callers accordingly... WTAF is a virtual consultation going to do, other than siphon more money away from hospitals, doctors, nurses, etc.? ctvnews.ca/montreal/politics/a #polQC #QCpoli #cdnpoli #polcan #assnat #santeQC #QChealth

  4. IDK I'm kinda rooting for the fax machine, at this point.

From 2023: Fax machines standing in way of Quebec health system fully adopting AI... cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/qu #polQC #QCpoli #assnat #santéQC #QChealth

  5. No one could've predicted this... /sarcasm

As Québec prepares to launch its new digital health record pilot project, Radio-Canada’s confidential sources say the software designed for the American system has translation errors and inefficiencies that could severely delay patient care.

  6. It's not like there are less surgeries needed...

The main cause is a severe shortage of personnel [people out w/ #COVID19, influenza, etc., or people w/ #burnout!] needed to perform surgeries!

There are 134 closed operating rooms out of the 560 available across the province of Québec, and 3/4 of operating rooms are underutilized.

  7. How many in Montréal, specifically *MY* borough of Côte-des-Neiges? Asking for myself, really.

Québec’s family doctors have voted overwhelmingly in favour of an agreement that will incentivize them to take on an additional 500,000 patients by next June. cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/fa #polQC #QCpoli #santeQC #QChealth #assnat #CAQASTROPHE

  8. Supposedly, Sonia Bélanger is a trained professional nurse...

    We'll see if she puts her professional training/nursing experience before CAQ ideology, eh. cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/qu #CAQASTROPHE #polQC #QCpoli #assnat #santeQC #QChealth

  9. "Make no mistake, Bill 2 is terrible for patients. This is why we went last night to protest," said Montréal family doctor and local coordinator for the DTMF, Dr. Michael Kalin, on the CAQ government's new bill adopted under a gag order...

  10. ANOTHER CAQ FAILURE! RESIGN FRANÇOIS LEGAULT! ELECTION NOW!

    Some doctors eye leaving Québec...

CAQ legislation does nothing to secure a family doctor for each and every Quebecer.

CAQ legislation seeks to punish overworked and underpaid existing doctors.

It's almost like the premier is an accountant and the health minister is an entrepreneur with ZERO experience in the trenches...

  11. Family doctors and medical specialists have been negotiating with the CAQ government, specifically, the Health minister, who has told lie after lie about doctors' salaries, doctors workload, etc.

You think François Legault gives ANY f*cks?!?
