  1. Labour's Chris Hipkins says his party won't be intimidated by 'anti-science' | RNZ

The headline here doesn’t accurately reflect the violent nature of the abuse Labour’s Health spokesperson, Ayesha Verrall suffered at the meeting. These anti-vaxxers are nutters who have the capacity and willingness to do physical harm. No surprise that they are being egged on by former ACT party official, John Ansell. I expect across the board condemnation from all political parties at this behaviour. 🤨

  2. Hearing the Deputy PMs comments around the PSA strike and how the timing was "clearly politically motivated to interfere with the election" has really pissed me off.

As i recall, it was Judith Collins who introduced the legislation that restricted Unions to only carry out strike actions while under active pay negotiations. And it is this coalition putting the budget constraints in.

The timing is *purely* the work of the coalition. The union has no say in it at all.

  3. So I can tell I watch a lot of US politics videos

Because YouTube keeps showing me ads for, Americans overseas can vote.

If you are an American in NZ PLEASE for the sake of the world VOTE

If you're a NZer living here or overseas please VOTE in NZ's elections

  4. Which agreement/contract that's not being upheld by this #NZPol coalition of corruption makes you want to #DitchThePricksIn26 the most?

  5. @ArrestJK

Also, showing some ethics, morality, humanity and upholding international law should not be difficult for any #NZPol politician yet here we are.

  6. Well, has Labour finally realised, no matter what they say MSM will attack them so they may as well do stuff the people want?

  7. @rnzbot_political

About time this coalition of corruption was called out for its failure to uphold NZ's responsibilities under the #Geneva Convention on #Genocide.

These complicit pricks will hopefully have their time at #TheHague.

    Well done Chippie. #NZPol

  9. CW: Nzpol. Labour promises Data center and AI regulation.

Labour is promising to set up an AI office, an online safety regulator, copyright rules that ensure creators are paid for their work, and impose rules on data centres.

Combine this with Greens Policy on data centers and it's a huge step in the right direction.
PS. Reuben Davidson, Labours Technology and Innovation spokesperson seems to know his stuff.

  10. I have seen this scroll by before and finally signed today.

It can seem pointless to petition this bunch of CoC aholes but it would be good to get behind something to send a clear message that the anti TPB & RSB bill momentum remains all the way to election day & beyond

  11. Petition of Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated: Do not remove or amend #TeTiriti principles or references in legislation.

We regard #TeTiritioWaitangi as the founding agreement of #Aotearoa #NewZealand. We believe that legislation should continue to recognise and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi as a guiding constitutional document and that Treaty clauses remain essential safeguards in government decision-making. In our view, changes of this significance should not proceed without meaningful consultation and engagement with #Māori, including iwi, hapū, and whānau, as well as the wider public.

Although there’s plenty of deserving birds and far too many in trouble particularly under this exploitative coalition of corruption, Ruru always gets a vote from me. #NZPol #BOTY

  18. CW: NZPol - more Luxon gaffes

NZ's soon-to-be-rolled PM can't help putting his foot in it. Stuff fact checks a couple of claims Luxon made at a public meeting last night.

    * That he's the first person in his family in 5000 years to go to university.

"That would mean none of his forebears since the year 2974BC had been to a university. However, the first one only opened in 859AD in Morocco."

    * "I call him the James Brown of MPs" -- Luxon compares Simeon Brown to the muso James Brown, who was famously convicted for assault, armed robbery, and domestic abuse.

Can anyone explain why this years Labour party billboards have magenta highlights through the traditional red - the same basic shade that the ACT party use in their branding?

Do Labour really want to remind us that it was them 80s that sold out into the neoliberal disaster that ACT so desperately want to continue destroying the country with?

    Odd choice

  35. Gee it seems even cruel denying people benefits isn't enough to stop the numbers climbing.

They're trying to rig the figures by denying under 20s benefits and it still increases by 80,000

*Wonder how many parents on minimum wage decided it made more sense to quit so their children could get a benefit?

  36. How to spot bias in our MSM

    You look at MSM

  37. Joel Maxwell with a cynical look at NZ's political parties. There are some good lines and he's right about Labour using invisibility as a campaign technique.

  38. While I love that #National's ideological bias has crashed headfirst into reality, let's not forget that even the targets they've hit are bullshit:
Less people in emergency housing ≠ people housed, meeting climate targets ≠ doing enough about '#ClimateChange', less people taking up elective surgery ≠ a well run #HealthSystem
