Albanese:
"Zomi represented the best of Australians out there in a dangerous area, helping her fellow global citizens as she had in other parts of the world that were suffering conflict as well. And that's why it deserves better."He knows that Zomi Frankcom died helping #Gaza, and he avoids it.
Because he believes that helping Gazans is wrong?
Because taking food to Gaza is anti-semitic?I don't fucking know. Anything is possible once you pull hard enough on that bong. This #ALP; not less shit, more competently shit.

WHy is it that with *Every* iOS update on my iPad I have issues, unresolved until a minor update (bug fix) is issued?
Why is it that I’m getting the feeling that I’m going to be **Forced** to update my iPad with the next iOS update because it is already complaining about lack of space which I guess is the precussor to the all too familiar: ‘ your iPad is no longer compatible with the new OS update — been there before and I’m damned if I’m going to buy another device with built-in redundency.
F*&% #Apple. f*&^ #TechBros I’m done with the lot of them.

Great turnout in Bingham this morning chatting to voters about @[email protected] 's ideas for the area if elected on 3 September.
Then a couple of hours spent spreading the #VoteGreen message in Portobello. @[email protected] -
CW: Too tired to use grownup words
Cocaine. Everyone likes a shot or two on the weekend. Look, anyone who says that cocaine addiction is the biggest addiction are just plain wrong. As long as you shoot up responsibly, there's no problem. I've spoken at length to Angus Taylor, who completely agrees with the cocaine lobby, whoops with me, and has agreed to pass this horseshit, whoops, bill - forthwith.

When you see the right whingers going "how are the Greens giving 2.4 billion to marae? what a waste!"
You can point out: 💚
-Over 800 marae across the country (could even say 3 million each)
-Track record of helping EVERYONE in crisis, plus holding the culture that makes Aotearoa unique.
-They're non-political, decentralised, trusted and already present in isolated communities where the state struggles to reach, even without floods, landslides or broken roads.
-It's 2.4 total, 1.2 billion a year.
-This is climate crisis resilience, ring-fenced from govts that may loot the Climate fund (as the CoC have)
-2.6 billion were spent on Amerikkkan military helicopters with a lot less pushback.
-2.9 billion yearly on landlords who help absolutely no one.
-6 Billion climate resilience fund scrapped on their first year. (hence ringfencing this policy out of their greedy hands)
-Between 44 and 54 Billion on the Roads of National Significance, with abysmal business cases for them, increasing emissions and not counting the cost of rebuilding the ones that are continuing to be damaged by flooding and landslides (because of climate change). -
This is badass policy.
Proud of the Greens putting their commitment to Te Tiriti beyond words and tokenism, into concrete action.💚 :tinoflag:

Marae are critical infrastructure for Aotearoa.
They're the first line of response to emergencies. They embody solidarity and resilience. We need to start backing them for all they do. 💚 💪 :tinoflag:

Luxon wasn't the CEO of Unilever. He was their US sales manager. His job was to sell Lynx (Axe in the US) to a young, male audience.
I think his tenure has conclusively proved that choosing a deodorant salesman as Prime Minister was never a good idea. NZ should never make that mistake again, starting in November.

Don't leave politics to the politicians.
Get involved.
For all of us. 💚 :ms_green_tick: -
In my humble opinion, it is very unlikely Swarbrick will lose Auckland Central as this Curia poll implies, for the following reasons:
* There are lots of excited volunteers that want her to win and are ramping up her grass roots campaign.
* She has done a great job for her electorate and most people here feel proud of having her as a representative.
* Without looking it up, can you name her closest contender, the National candidate? Yeah, me neither.

A breath of fresh air, listening to a candidate who genuinely cares about the communities in Aotearoa and speaks like a real human being.
Great interview with Ricardo Menéndez March 💚, in #1of200 #podcast

Great korero from #NZGreen MP Tamatha Paul in the House describing the pathetic RW snowflakes demanding the bastard language of #English be made an official language of #Aotearoa #NewZealand under urgency replacing a bill that will speed up building consents being heard.

CW: #AusPol tax Climate Catastrophe
When people talk about fuel prices and about Fuel Tax Credits, they are talking about lowering tax for mining companies, (and of those, coal mining is a significant part).
Of all credits, mining receives 45% of the benefit, agriculture only 12%.
These tax breaks fund the climate catastrophe, and were instituted by The Nationals, who represent miners, not farmers. The ALP is too scared to tackle them.

The Green Party of Aotearoa's manifesto 2026 is out in the world now, in case you are into that sort of thing.

Something like:
Greens: Let's pause and check there's water and no crocodiles in the pool before we dive in.
Luxon: That's alarmist.

CW: AusPol fucking useless ALP
Much better apparently to 'genocide' than to 'stoush'.
Good. Fine. Completely normal.
