Two taxes on the rich are proposed by Prof. Prabhat Patnaik, a Marxist economist.
1. #InheritanceTax - when the kids of the rich inherit the wealth of their parents, they must be taxed. India currently doesn't have this tax. Japan has up to 55% of this tax.
2. #WealthTax - by simply taxing the top 1% of the wealthiest people in India for 2% of their wealth we can raise ₹6.6 Lakh crores (2022) and use it to fund public schemes. Let the rich contribute to the nation.
