#Bill14 & #Bill15 are #undemocratic bills that #BCNDP is shoving through. This #BCgovernment, under greasy #JohnHorgan groomed super sellout, former civil liberties lawyer guy, #DavidEby - is breaking its own law under the Declaration of the Rights of #IndigenousPeoples.

This type of #neoliberalism is right in line with #BillC5 from #GovernmentOfCanada under #MarkCarney federal Liberals(Conservatives, basically). They take actions which are against the publics' interests. They serve corporations over people & environment. They are always greenwashing & whitewashing, while helping with ecocidal corporate plundering & endangering our liveable futures.

I don't support any BS industrialized innovations that are only used to make more fast profits for sleazy, greasy ecociders who don't give a fuck about our ecosystems, wildlife, humans or future generations. When you don't work in sustainable ways, when your work involves constantly killing Mother Nature for paycheques - you're going to pay the consequence prices at some point. I hope it is the worst hell on Earth for the ecociders.

Mosaic published a survey earlier this month to gather public input on responsible recreation. The company says it will use the survey results to guide the company’s “commitment to responsible #ForestStewardship — balancing public recreation with #environmental protection.”

If you’d like to let Mosaic know what you think about opening up the gates to the private land it manages, the survey is open until May 23.

The Discourse published an article by reporter Rowan Flood covering the ongoing battle between outdoor recreation groups and Mosaic Forest Management. Mosaic manages huge swaths of land on #VancouverIsland and tightly controls access to what one outdoor enthusiast called the most impressive and “jaw-dropping” parts of the Island. I was completely floored to learn that nearly 600,000 hectares of #unceded land on the Island is privately owned and is managed by a single company.

This week, I am voting for #BCGreens. I'd #NeverVoteConservative & after what's happened to me, my family, my BIPOC friends & my clients under #BCNDP leadership, I'd #NeverVoteNeoliberal either.

No one can expect me to support #BCNewDeathParty after they keep approving more budget increases for #RCMPCIRG to protect #ecocide #CorporateGreed over protection of our environment/ecosystems, especially irreplaceable #AncientForests & over #BCcitizens #PublicHealth.

#BCNDPLegacyoOfDeath includes my Dad. Their lack of taking #Covid seriously resulted in him being infected in hospital by unmasked staff. It is unforgivable. This government is still aiding/abetting unnecessary infections, deaths & long covid disability.

#Wetsuweten #HereditaryChief will serve a 60-day jail sentence under house arrest for disrupting #pipeline construction through Wet'suwet'en traditional territory in northern #BritishColumbia in October 2021.

#ChiefDtsahyl, also known as Adam Gagnon, was convicted of criminal contempt for publicly and willfully defying a court order to stay away from Coastal GasLink's pipeline construction.

According to the judgment, Chief Dtsa'hyl appeared in social media videos and called the court injunction obtained by #CoastalGasLink "bogus as hell" because the Wet'suwet'en owned and had #jurisdiction over the territory through which the pipeline was being built.

Chief Dtsa'hyl testified that as a leader, he had a duty to protect Wet'suwet'en land, water, burial sites, and historic trails from the degradation of pipeline construction. He said his actions against Coastal GasLink upheld the traditional Wet'suwet'en law of trespass.

The court heard that Chief Dtsa'hyl is 68 years old and has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 lymphoma.

Character references submitted to the court describe him as a loving, supportive, compassionate and courageous man.

#BritishColumbia #OldGrowth #activists have taken before and after photos of a large area of an #AncientGrove that was #clearcut on #VancouverIsland near #PortAlberni in the #NahmintValley.

The #AncientForestAlliance says that many of the massive #trees that were cut down were over 500 years old, some being up to nine feet across.

Now that the grove has been cut, they are urging the #BCgovernment to immediately correct misidentified #AtRisk #OldGrowth #forests that could be eligible for #LoggingDeferrals.
