Because of my broken wrist, I got some slip-on sneakers.
Not like loafers where there's a just low back so you can step in easily. These have a full back end and grip the foot like a sneaker. But the back end is reinforced so you can put your foot in and press down to put it on.
I absolutely love them. I mean...they look like #medical shoes and I don't think I'll keep wearing them. But I love how somebody finally Made It Right.
Now to my point: Why can't we have a *slipper* like that?
Slippers INSIST on being loose. Even full-back slippers are always a sloppy fit. When I walk, the heel drops maybe only 3mm off my foot, but that's enough to scrape the floor, slow my walk, cause all kinds of rubbing that destroys the shoe, etc.
I want a slip-on shoe like the medical one that also has a thinner sole than a shoe and has fur inside.
That's a slipper. A warm shoe built for inside. Not a LOOSE shoe.
