From the very beginning, this instance has constantly been under attack by neurotic psychopaths and elites alike who hate everything about us: the fact we run #rebased, our exorbitant maximum character limits, our connections to #nostr, #Bitcoin, and the entire “crypto-bro” movement, but most importantly our commitment to solid, grounded #Christian values, and to preserving our way of life in the #USA, through various methods including advocacy, voting, and other forms of activism.
This most recent outage was certainly an attack on free speech from the far left, but it was also much more than that: it was an assault on the truth itself. Very important and pressing information has recently come to light which threatens the sanity of those on the left, and even those on the right as well. However, the truth is non-partisan, the truth is alive, and the truth cannot be contained. In the spirit of standing for truth, justice, and the American way, I have no choice but to reveal this pertinent information before you today, now that this instance is up and running once again:

Another is c.wtf which powered #Rebased , a fork of #Pleroma. There are plenty more, like those powered by #Friendica (if you want a social-network feel. Or #GoToSocial if you prefer a minimalist set up. And so on.

Okay so why did #FSE and #SPC die? Isn’t #pleroma / #akkoma supposed to be so much better than #Mastodon? Why then couldn’t they run at full capacity indefinitely?
I’m not hating on #rebased BTW, #Poast seems to be doing fine from what little I hear. It’s just funny that I heard so many people over there boasting and bragging about how #pleroma and #akkoma are so much better than #Mastodon because they have more features and run lighter, etc. etc. meanwhile those instances are down now while instances like mstdn.social have been running at full throttle for years now with a pretty similarly sized userbase IIRC

@jerrykimbro I could be wrong but I don’t think that #rebased, #pleroma, or #akkoma-based clients host or proxy remote media. Basically, #Spinster doesn’t store your comics, they load the remote files that are hosted by #Minds. If you don’t want that to happen, take your comics down from #Minds.

@[email protected] Tbf, reactions (custom ones that is, since I know #Soapbox and maybe #Rebased supported reactions before, but only a limited set of unicode emojis) are relatively new in #Pleroma I think. Give it some time! :koakuma_giggle:

@[email protected] #Pleroma definitely does #quoteposts. However it's awkward IMO because you have to click on the OP's reply button to be able to quote that OP. This is bad design imho as replies and quotes are supposed to be two different things; a #quote is much closer to a #boost. It's not just because I'm used to Misskey putting the option into the #renote / boost button, it also just logically makes more sense as you're putting it into your own timeline and you intend for people to see the post you're quoting. :sagume_think:
#Akkoma too supports quote boosting; it has its own button in the UI. Kinda like #Firefish and its forks (as well as #Sharkey). :cirno_fumo_yes:

Afaik Pleroma does not do quote posts, Rebased does and I don't know about Akkoma...

Holy frick...people are sharing pictures of #trans FtM "penises" and I have two reactions:
1. #X / #Twitter needs CW fields like #Mastodon, #rebased, #Pleroma etc. have.
2. Good gosh straight women are justified in being "transphobic" when it comes to who they sleep with. These look ghoulish. I've drawn hands that look more anatomically correct than these "penises", and all my drawings suck. I can see why women like the folks on #Spinster get so viscerally angry when you say they should sleep with people who have appendages like this because they're straight. -
