Die Marke mag deutsch sein, ansonsten ist das Gerät aber so deutsch, wie das TrumpphoneOne amerikanisch ist.
Trotzdem ein erwägenswertes Gerät (Textverarbeitung, videos streamen, ...)
bei meiner Suche bin ich aber auf etwas komplett anderes und hoch interessantes gestoßen: Es gibt einen Fork von Graphene, der als GSI auf Treble-fähigen Abdroidgeräten läuft!😃
Wer ein Acepad hat oder kauft: bitte treble-info laufen lassen und das ergebnis hier posten.

Also, thanks for highlighting the existence of
https://flatpark.org/People hosting their own flatpak repos for their apps is increasing as it appears to me too.
Luckily the format, tooling and docs for this are pretty useful and enable easy publication straight from Github actions or the likes. Compared to Flathub a rather pleasant experience.
Now what'd be great would be a (forge based) discovery mechanism for self hosted flatpak repos.

Maybe Linus Torvalds is right.
Maybe it's time to fork the kernel and clean it up.
Get rid of all the stuff that's in there because of company x shifted the burdon of maintenance to the public and all the slop.
Concentrate on systems that a normal person actually can buy and use today.
See how small a code base we can get and start from there.
Maybe do the sane thing and develop the libc with the kernel like the BSDs do.
Maybe look at all the other systems out there https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_open-source_operating_systems
and implement everything in the best possible way .Let's not do the "Not Invented Here" dance.
Keep POSIX compatibility as the baseline.
As it stands right now the only people who are kinda happy with the kernel project as is are the big iron vendors.
Oh and while we're at it let's fix the licence so it actually reflects the values of the community and not the intrrests of big tech and the egos of some cis het well-off white dudes.

AI is a tool, just like other tools we use. And it's clearly a useful one.
It may not have been that "clearly" even just a year ago, but it's no longer in question today.
There are other questions around AI (like what the economy of it will actually look like in the end), but "is it useful" is no longer one of those questions. Anybody who doubts that clearly hasn't actually used it.
Yes, it can also be a somewhat painful tool, both for maintainer workloads and just from a "it keeps finding embarrassing bugs" standpoint.
But the solution is not to put your head in the sand and sing "La La La, I can't hear you" at the top of your voice like some people seem to do.
The solution is to make sure those LLM tools _help_ maintainers instead of just causing them pain. There's no question on that side.
We're not forcing anybody to use it, but I will very loudly ignore people who try to argue against other people from using it.
And no, AI isn't perfect. But Christ, anybody who points to the problems at AI had better be looking in the mirror and pointing at themselves at the same time.
Because it's not like natural intelligence is always all that great either.
The kernel project has been and will continue to be about the technology.
Sure, the social angle of working on open source is important and often a very motivating part of the project, but in the end that's a side benefit, not the _point_ of the project.
This is *NOT* some kind of "social warrior" project, never has been, and never will be.
In the kernel community we do open source because it results in better technology, not because of religious reasons.
And so we make decisions primarily based on technical merit. Not fear of new tools."

Асинхронный django: новые начинания
Здравствуйте, дорогие читатели! Сегодня - ещё одна статья из рубрики джангологии. Раньше я уже писал о своих идеях ( 1 и 2 ) о том, как сделать django асинхронным. Они основывались, вслед за sqlalchemy, на использовании гринлетов. Несмотря на то, что proof-of-concept был успешно получен, а трудностей - встречено меньше, чем ожидалось, я всё-таки отказался от этого подхода: во-первых, он уже применяется в sqlalchemy. Во-вторых, это ведёт к усложнению, и растёт так называемая test matrix - потому что поддерживается как синхронный случай, так и асинхронный. А simple, как мы знаем, is better than complex. Так вот, я решил возобновить эти свои попытки, изменив подход на более радикальный. А именно, необратимо переписать django на async-only, сломав совместимость полностью. Для этого потребуется заменить в половине функций def на async def и добавив await при их вызове. Я уверен, что такой подход лучше. Не то, чтобы асинхронный django был очень кому-нибудь нужен, особенно теперь, или от этого будет какой-то фантастический выигрыш в производительности - дело в том, что я хочу попробовать на практике агентное программирование, а это, как раз подходящий проект: есть чёткий план и много кода, который нужно менять.

Jetzt gehe ich alle Patches nochmal durch, comitte (#git) und teste sie einzeln, und pushe sie dann auf meinen #Fork.
