Back again! Five weeks ago, an artificial lens in my right eye had dislocated itself; I was effectively one-eyed, and my doctors strongly discouraged me from reading - so, lots of talking and phoning, but only the most important mails, and no papers at all. I now had surgery, and things look good. It‘ll take me weeks to catch up with mails and reviews, but I’ll see you soon, starting at #FSE next week!

Depuis plus de deux ans, dans plusieurs universités, des étudiant·es juif·ves subissent intimidations, marginalisations et tentatives de mise au silence.

Sous couvert de dénoncer une prétendue instrumentalisation de la lutte contre l’antisémitisme, certain·es instrumentalisent en réalité la cause palestinienne pour attaquer des organisations qui combattent l’antisémitisme.

Le RAAR condamne fermement ces faits et apporte son soutien à @collectifgolem à l'UEJF ainsi qu’à toutes les victimes d’antisémitisme dans les universités.

Auf vielen Websites findet man ein Icon, so dass man bei Klick auf das Icon an den Anfang der Seite oder des Beitrags (Back to Top) landet. Ich habe mir die Frage gestellt, ob diese Option nicht auch ohne Plugin realisierbar ist. Hier ist eine Lösung, die sogar barrierefrei ist. Es gibt aber einen kleinen Nachteil im Vergleich zu der Lösung mit einem Plugin, das ich auf dieser Seite verwende.

I might be wrong but wordpress block themes seem like a designer nightmare for when one editor starts messing up with all the options available in every block/part/template.

I am used to create classic themes and even creating custom blocks from scratch for them, and although it has some editing constrains, at least the styles/options/blocks play well together and the risk of design fu*kup is quite minimal in comparison to block themes.

Mit dem Ollie Menu Designer kann man in WordPress ansprechende und responsive Menüs gestalten – inklusive mobiler Menüs und Mega-Menüs. Die Gestaltung erfolgt komplett im Block-Editor. Das Plugin hat bereits für einigen Wirbel gesorgt, weil es als Gamechanger für den Navigation Block angesehen wird. Eine Funktion, auf die User, die Block Themes einsetzen, schon lange warten. @burgervege Yes, I've been working with several devs who are replacing older page builder and custom built sites w/ Full Site Editing and blocks. It's getting them performance boosts over things like Elementor, Divi, and Beaver Builder, as well as giving access to newer features.

The navigation blocks are still unfinished though. More works is needed to make the main menu work well with blocks. #fse #WordPress
