What a huge difference 24 hours or a single hour can make, the coast was completely socked in by thick fog when I got there it was sunny and beautiful out earlier yesterday but still is turning out pretty nice today! In coastal news, it was sunny and lovely this morning so I loaded up and went out for a good paddle and some not great but still waaaay better than nothing waves to surf over in Capitola. The highlight over was a sweet fly by from a big bat ray! And there was a quad pod of dolphins, some other paddleboarders ended up getting really close, within ten feet of them, while they were breaching! Very good stuff indeed! #coast #montereybay #dolphins #sup #paddleboarding

Went for a bike ride and came across a bird gyre leading into a dolphin pod having dinner near the beach. Went home and got my binoculars to come watch the show! What's this? No wind and sunny out at the water? Hell yes!
Just got back from an absolutely lovely paddle to Capitola where there was some nice swell coming through for some fun waves and then paddling back was slow because I'm not in great shape currently.

And I saw two bat rays, one on the way over and one coming back which was nice, first sighting all summer (and since like April or May really)!
