Today we dropped off our completed ballot ✅ for the June 2, 2026 Primary Election at a Monterey County Elections official dropbox, just outside Seaside City Hall, next to Seaside library 📚. Very soon we’ll receive an email from the California Secretary of State's office, on behalf of our county, that our ballot was received and counted.💚 ✅

Heartbreaking: Thousands of fluffy emperor penguin chicks have drowned as Antarctic sea ice shatters beneath them — too early for the babies to swim or stay warm.
The IUCN has now officially listed emperor penguins as Endangered. Record-low sea ice, driven by global heating, is collapsing their breeding grounds. Entire colonies are falling into the ocean. Chicks that don't drown often freeze to death, soaked and helpless.
This isn't some distant future scenario. It's happening now — in 2022 alone, four out of five colonies in the Bellingshausen Sea were wiped out. Scientists are calling them a "sentinel species": what we're doing to the planet is playing out in real time on the ice.
The emperor penguin’s move to endangered is a stark warning: climate change is accelerating the extinction crisis before our eyes.

Son jóvenes, adolescentes, menores de veintipocos años. Los califican como la Generación Z. Han nacido con internet y las redes sociales. Se definen más por valores que por partidos. No hay líderes, ni símbolos clásicos, ni partidos, ni sindicatos. Si no tienen nada, no tienen nada que perder. Ya no les impresionan la furia, los ruidos, bulos y mentiras, ni los circos que montan con sus bufones la derecha-ultraderecha, no aportan nada para mejorar su futuro ni el del planeta.

Sus protestas van contra la desigualdad, la corrupción, por alquileres imposibles, sueldos bajos, por el cambio climático, por la igualdad de género y derechos LGTBIQ, contra la violencia de género, menos consumo, en contra de la desigualdad (el 1% más rico acaparó el 41% de la riqueza creada desde el año 2000. 2,5 millones de jóvenes españoles sufren pobreza o exclusión (Cáritas).

¿Quién es Felipe González?, “un rey o algo así”, “un ministro”; ¿Qué dos partidos forman parte del gobierno de coalición? “PP y Psoe, que se juntaron para algo”. Un presidente de Latinoamérica, “Madón, o Mazón”. El de la motosierra, “Michael Myers (personaje de ficción)”. Fueron algunas respuestas que dieron unos jóvenes -alrededor de los 14 años- a preguntas de Isma Suárez (programa El intermedio). Sí sabían quién era Yolanda Díaz, pero a Isabel Díaz Ayuso la dejaron de ministra. En otra ocasión les preguntó qué ocurrió el 23 F y alguien dio la respuesta de “las Torres Gemelas”.

Vale, puedes reír o llorar, puede que los más jóvenes no se interesen por la política, la economía… pero sí saben lo que quieren, saben de sus derechos y quieren un futuro mejor del que tienen delante. Reclaman más justicia social y transparencia. Sus luchas pacíficas exigen mejores servicios públicos, como sanidad y educación… Por el bien de todos. No es un grupo, es un movimiento que se extiende por todos los países, y en sintonía con el movimiento woke. Defienden causas globales, pero con raíces locales (agua, clima, educación, derechos). Usan las redes sociales como espacio de acción política y comunicación. Sin partidos ni jerarquías. (Sigue leyendo)

Ya no hay quién los pare. ¡Un alcalde socialista en Nueva York! Jóvenes marroquíes pidiendo más hospitales y menos estadios. Jóvenes de Nepal manifestándose por la libertad digital, el gobierno les prohibió el acceso a plataformas de redes sociales; el primer ministro dimitió. En India, movilización por los derechos de minorías, por el feminismo, contra la ostentación de las clases poderosas. Irán, con el movimiento “Mujer, vida, libertad”. Y Perú, Chile, Colombia, Sudán, Francia, Indonesia, Madagascar. Francia EEUU, España… Algunos gobiernos han caído o cedido (Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Chile, Perú…) Ya no hay marcha atrás, la generación Z, el movimiento woke, una corriente social y política que busca denunciar y corregir injusticias sociales.

Los rancios, los de ultra derecha, tienen mucha furia, hacen mucho ruido, pero no aportan nada,

Son los de los bulos, mentiras, los de decir cada minuto “Sánchez malo, Sánchez, hijo de puta… así todo el día” Son los de la derecha, ultraderecha, PP, Vox, los de Abascal, racistas, machistas, supremacistas, antidemocráticos, con tendencias eurogenésicas (selección de humanos más perfectos), con posturas conservadoras, especialmente contra el aborto, el feminismo, postulan el orgullo patriótico, la familia tradicional, no a la inmigración, todo lo opuesto a lo que postula la nueva generación.​

Y por este movimiento ya han caído gobiernos.

Greta Thunberg (Suecia) Símbolo mundial del activismo climático. Desde los 15 años inspira protestas por la justicia ambiental y ha impulsado movimientos como Fridays for Future. Representa la conciencia ecológica y la acción directa de los jóvenes frente a gobiernos y grandes corporaciones.

Aidan Kohn-Murphy (EE. UU.) Fundador de Gen-Z for Change, una red digital que usa TikTok y otras plataformas para difundir campañas sociales y políticas (voto joven, derechos civiles, medioambiente). Representa la militancia digital y el poder del activismo coordinado en redes.

X González (EE. UU.) Activista por el control de armas tras sobrevivir al tiroteo de Parkland (2018). Ha llevado el debate sobre seguridad, derechos civiles y salud mental a la esfera juvenil, combinando discurso político con autenticidad personal.
Malala Yousafzai (Pakistán / Reino Unido) Aunque nació antes de la Generación Z (1997), su figura sigue siendo referente para los jóvenes. Defiende la educación de las niñas y los derechos humanos desde una perspectiva global, inspirando movimientos estudiantiles en Asia y África.

Joshua Wong (Hong Kong) Activista prodemocracia que desde la adolescencia encabezó las protestas del movimiento Umbrella y sigue siendo símbolo del desafío juvenil ante los regímenes autoritarios. Representa el valor político y la organización juvenil digital en Asia.

Olivia Mandle (España) Joven ecologista catalana que lucha contra la contaminación marina y el uso de delfines en cautividad. Con un enfoque científico y pedagógico, simboliza la nueva ola ambientalista europea con sensibilidad animalista y enfoque educativo.

Entre los ultras que más han difundido bulos y desinformación en España destacan varios nombres vinculados al activismo de extrema derecha y a la movilización digital:

Grupos y canales dentro de Telegram y redes internacionales ultras como «Deport Them Now UE», que han sido identificados directa y judicialmente como impulsores de bulos, incitación al odio y coordinadores de campañas racistas y violentas en barrios y municipios.

Daniel Esteve (líder de Desokupa): ha sido clave en la viralización de bulos relacionados con conflictos vecinales y migratorios, como en el caso de Torre Pacheco, donde llamó a la acción directa y difundió mensajes de odio y temor en sus canales de YouTube y redes sociales.​

Adrián de Oliveira (alias RescueYou): conocido por su presencia en protestas ultras, es un agitador que retransmite e impulsa bulos y contenido desinformativo contra la inmigración y partidos de izquierda, tanto en manifestaciones físicas como desde redes digitales.​

Javier Negre: periodista y activista ultra que ha transportado bulos desde televisiones privadas a redes sociales, monetizando contenido polarizador y desinformativo, atacando a inmigrantes, la izquierda y periodistas.
