Reserving a space for my bike on InterCity #trains is hard. It's easy if I only want to book a ticket that's only for the InterCity portion (in this case, #Avanti). Adding on my source (#SWR) and destination (#NorthernRailway) stations, and it says I can't book a space on the outbound service (as far as I can tell, neither provider has reservations or restrictions on bikes).
I will go to my local station tomorrow to see if they can sort it all out.

A57 between Hollow Meadows and Rivelin Dams still closed, but progress is getting made. Retaining wall foundation is in place. Tarmac to be done before the road opens. The road will open soon, and the wall will get finished with temporary traffic lights.

So, rather than actually enforce the laws enacted by the Highway Traffic Act to help mitigate the damages caused by multi-ton, way-too-fast, death machines piloted by distracted drivers, Windsor Police lead by The Weakest and Highest Paid Mayor in Ontario are going to hand out more tickets for, get this, "Jaywalking".... a "law" that was invented by The Auto Industry, lobbied for by Oil & Gas, to literally steal public space from humans to give it to cars.
This is how little your leaders care about you.
As long as no car driver is EVER inconvenienced for even a few seconds, they are more than happy that pedestrians, that cyclists, that women, children, the elderly, the disabled, suffer inordinately , are injured or killed just trying to exist in this backwards, knuckle-walking city.
If you want better, YOU have to vote better. YOU have to be vocal to your friends and your family to vote better.

Costco has pads of paper for the suggestion box by the customer support area, for example. Use them!
If cyclists complained about non-existent, inaccessible, badly sited, unsecure, unsheltered, or inadequate cycle parking as often as car drivers complain about car parking, businesses might see it as an issue they need to address.

Cyclists: USE YOUR CONSUMER POWER
Too many cyclists I know accept the status quo. They assume no one will listen. But car-using customers complain all the time when there is imperfect car parking. COMPLAIN when there's no or inaccessible or unsecure cycle parking!
This includes customer feedback forms, online reviews, etc.
I just wrote a review for a hotel I stayed at & talked racks.
