This seems to be leading up to weekend rain, but thankfully predictions are for a clear, cool, sunny week next week, which I'm looking forward to as I'll be on vacation. YAY!

Good morning everyone ☀️ I'm up early with the parrots and just about to dive into the Inbox of Doom after a quick cuddle with Ziggy, who was running her beak over the bars like a prisoner with a tin cup when I came in this morning so eager was she to get the routine going so she could get her breakfast 🙂
Personally, I could have sleepy cuddled for ages if I had a choice, but the IOD awaits so I'd better hop to it.

Good morning everyone 🌅 Long lie for me and I have just come down to the usual excited parrot greetings, but Toby is already screaming at me so may have to move in a moment to protect my ears and sanity. 🥴 I do try to just wait him out sometimes, but the noise is so ear shattering that I usually have to give up as it's not something you want to put up with while still rubbing the sleep out of your eyes!
I know it's just him trying to get my attention, but you have to be careful with parrots that you don't inadvertently reinforce bad behaviour. Even looking at him while he screams could be enough to do that. It's why shouting at parrots being noisy is totally pointless - you shouting is giving them attention - even though negative - and they'll take that as a cue to do the thing again since they got such a loud response last time 🙂
Plans for today are more crochet work and watching old episodes of ER. I watched one with a very young Ewan McGregor as a hapless thief in a store robbery gone askew, so I'm wondering who else I might spot now 🙂
