A Polish painter, known for her portraits, she spent much of her life in Paris - returning to Poland when she married Dr Antoni Bohdanowicz. In Warsaw, she intended to open a Parisian-style art school for women, but fell ill with a heart condition dying a year later at 38.

Commission for a family friend. The colour palette was a challenge: purple on green. I think I pulled it off, though the medium did not quite allow me to do as vibrant a purple as I maybe could have, to further the challenge. With paint or paint pens, I think I could do better these days.
