First ride after tube replacement went well. I checked all the tire pressures. I knew some would need it because I checked the good front tire yesterday and it was down. And then my mini-compressor needed charging again before I could get to the desired pressure. But the one installed yesterday and pumped by hand by the mech was a bit low as well, and the rear one needed more.
Hard as rocks ride (I wish I could have afforded full suspension), but no flats!

@ascentale From the answer, it sounded to me like speed/acceleration is a factor. That is, motorization makes it so the rim can go faster than the tube is going unless you create more friction that grabs the tube. #BikeNite #BikeTooter #Cycling #CargoBike #Recumbent

OK, here's an update from Schwalbe US (where I had previously made a contact so I had an email).
They offered to make good on it even though they are saying this is something common on many tubes with e-cycles.

Anfang Juni hab ich mit einer Freundin ihr #Lastenrad von Berlin nach Hamburg transportiert - indem wir abwechselnd drauf gefahren sind. Kein heißer Ultracycling Scheiß. Ich hab aber trotzdem einen Blogpost dazu geschrieben. Vielleicht gibt es irgendwem eine Idee, was mit dem #Fahrrad alles so geht, dann wäre schon was gewonnen 💚🚲 😊

Draußen zuhause. 🌲📦 Tourenplanung am Waldrand – das ist mein Verständnis von zeitgemäßem Arbeiten.
Dank gutem Netz ist das "Mobile Office" heute direkt an der frischen Luft. Das Lastenrad steht bereit für die nächste Runde regionale Wertschöpfung. Wer braucht schon Betonwände, wenn man den Schwarzwald-Blick haben kann?

Fast unbemerkt die 10.000km geknackt mit dem aktuellen #Carqon #Cruise #Lastenrad, vorwiegend als Kinderkutsche, aber auch bisschen #carryshitolympics. Das waren 3,5 schnell vergangene Jahre. Nach wie vor 80% zufrieden damit: einiges wofür der Hersteller kann (v.a. Gewicht, paar Details); anderes wo er nicht viel Auswahl hatte (sind quasi DIE standard #cargobike Komponenten). Aber unabhängig vom Modell: Ein Lastenrad möchten wir nicht mehr missen, erst recht ohne #Auto! #OneLessCar #autokorrektur #lesscars
PS: Der Vollständigkeit wegen: Davor gabs ca. 1a lang ein R&M P70, bevor es dank mangelhaftem Engineering + Produktrückruf wieder eingezogen worden war.

Auch am Lastenrad ist der Laufradsatz für uns eine der wichtigsten Komponenten und so bauen wir diesen natürlich ganz nach Wunsch hier im Studio.
Für unser kommendes Omnium Projekt verwenden hier unsere Carbon-Hausfelgen. Am Vorderrad kommt eine 20 Zoll Felge in 32mm Höhe und 25mm Innenweite zum Einsatz, die ebenso wie das Hinterrad in 32L Variante verwendet wird. Das Hinterrad hat 28“ und 35mm Höhe bei gleicher Innenweite. Da kommt viel Steifigkeit dem Cargo-Einsatz zu Gute.
Bei der Nabenwahl haben wir wie immer viel Individualisierungs-Potential.
Da das Rad eine feste Beleuchtung erhält, ist ein Nabendynamo Pflicht - und da kommt natürlich SON ins Spiel und ein „28“ wird von uns verbaut. Passend zu silbernen Details in polierter Variante. Im Hinterrad darf eine silberne Hope Technology Ltd Pro 5 ihren Dienst antreten, die auch zu den hochflanschigen Naben zählt und so perfekt für den Lasteneinsatz geeignet ist. Und für die Optik des Projekt setzen wir auf silberne Sapim Messerspeichen.
