Anfang Juni hab ich mit einer Freundin ihr #Lastenrad von Berlin nach Hamburg transportiert - indem wir abwechselnd drauf gefahren sind. Kein heißer Ultracycling Scheiß. Ich hab aber trotzdem einen Blogpost dazu geschrieben. Vielleicht gibt es irgendwem eine Idee, was mit dem #Fahrrad alles so geht, dann wäre schon was gewonnen 💚🚲 😊

J'ADORE mon cargo !
Mais il y a un truc que je trouve pas pratique : je n'ai pas d'appui à l'avant pour poser un truc long. Pire : ça s'appuie sur la direction, c'est pas stable et ça fait une résistance pour tourner.

Je voulais donc fabriquer un petit truc que je mettrais à l'avant qui pourrait me servir d'appui.

Un collègue cherchait un truc à bricoler aujourd'hui et m'a proposé qu'on réfléchisse à une solution ensemble. Et voilà ce qu'on a trouvé !

J'ai pas encore pu l'essayer, mais ça a l'air bien pratique. En plus, je peux le mettre et l'enlever hyper facilement, et ça tient très bien tout seul sans fixation. Parfait ! Je suis trop contente et j'ai hâte de l'essayer pour faire du #carryshitolympics !!

Started moving instruments today. One load of saxophones - I'd rather expected the baritone and its bulky case to be pretty much a load by itself. But it, three altos, three stands, and a case full of accessories all packed nicely into a single trip, along with a couple boxes.

Idéal pour la pride puisque ça attire l'oeil (tout le monde voulait tourner la roue 😁) et on peut jouer en avançant !

Ça a beaucoup plus, les gens étaient contents d'apprendre des trucs et de tourner la roue.

Bon, j'ai quand eu un petit coup de vieux quand les plus jeunes me disaient après avoir joué : "Merci *madame*, *vous* l'avez trop bien fait la roue !"
Outch ! 😅 Je veux bien qu'on me vouvoie et qu'on m'appelle madame dans un milieu pro, mais je pensais pas que ça allait être le cas dans une pride. C'est officiel, la quarantaine est définitivement entamée !

Auch am Lastenrad ist der Laufradsatz für uns eine der wichtigsten Komponenten und so bauen wir diesen natürlich ganz nach Wunsch hier im Studio.
Für unser kommendes Omnium Projekt verwenden hier unsere Carbon-Hausfelgen. Am Vorderrad kommt eine 20 Zoll Felge in 32mm Höhe und 25mm Innenweite zum Einsatz, die ebenso wie das Hinterrad in 32L Variante verwendet wird. 
Das Hinterrad hat 28“ und 35mm Höhe bei gleicher Innenweite. Da kommt viel Steifigkeit dem Cargo-Einsatz zu Gute.
Bei der Nabenwahl haben wir wie immer viel Individualisierungs-Potential.
Da das Rad eine feste Beleuchtung erhält, ist ein Nabendynamo Pflicht - und da kommt natürlich SON ins Spiel und ein „28“ wird von uns verbaut. Passend zu silbernen Details in polierter Variante. Im Hinterrad darf eine silberne Hope Technology Ltd Pro 5 ihren Dienst antreten, die auch zu den hochflanschigen Naben zählt und so perfekt für den Lasteneinsatz geeignet ist. Und für die Optik des Projekt setzen wir auf silberne Sapim Messerspeichen.

In case anyone else was wondering, the inclined lifts in the Tyne Pedestrian and cyclist tunnel still aren't working.

And judging from the doors at either end, my #CargoBike won't fit in them even when they are running.

Had a really nice day taking the kids in the #CargoBike down to South Shields.
A relief to confirm it does fit on the Shields ferry - the conductor slid the door open wider and there was loads of space inside.
We went to The Word and then along the seafront, but got a puncture on the way back! Fortunately, I managed to push it to AS Cycles, which turns out to be a really good old-fashioned shop, and got back on the road in no time, now with a spare inner tube and pump in the bucket.
Getting back up the hill from Tynemouth pier was a struggle, but with the kids chanting "you can do it" (and full motor assist) I did it!
Used just over half the battery, over 30km.
