Does an indie #cycle #courier company exist in the city (like Feral Express in Sheffield)?

We're weighing up ever gram of carbon in our operations and this would be a solution to consider to reduce them. A search doesn't yield any results but we didn't know about Feral Express until someone mentioned them here so reasoned worth using #askfedi #BikeTooter hive-mind for it's wisdom.

Yesterday, I went up one of the mountains (2nd picture), today I enjoy them again from a distance.

South of #Sheffield #coffee deliveries done on the #bike early this morning to beat the heat. #Cycling 26km on the #TernGSD in ~90 minutes.

I did a quick calculation (using carbonfootprint.com) on how much #carbon saved so far this year vs. average petrol car (including what we give to Feral Express to #cycle on our behalf) and it's ~0.8 tonnes of CO2e. Should be well over a tonne by the end of the year and we're a tiny business.

Small #calltoaction :
When every tonne of carbon not released matters, imagine what could be done if people supported their local sustainable business. For businesses like us, an extra 10 customers a week is huge. There are 1000s of businesses like us.

The number of #ElectricBuses is noticeably higher in town now. Apart from being quieter, they seem to be able to accelerate more smoothly too. As a #Cyclist, the biggest thing I’ve noticed is that, when you have to wait behind one at a traffic light junction, you don’t get a lung-full of noxious #DieselFumes and so it makes #cycling even more of a pleasure. I think the bus company is aiming to replace all urban diesel buses by next year. Bring it on.
