Day 8: Civitanova Marche - San Benedetto del Tronto

San Benedetto is cute, small historic centre but nice big pedestrian promenade and parks near the sea. And again, art along the harbour wall, this time sculptures instead of murals and a cat colony living there too!

Day 7: Ancona - Civitanova Marche

Edit: Uploading pictures works again, so I attached those.

Beautiful ride out of Ancona and into the hills following the Biciclovia del Conero, then a fun gradual descent back to the sea.

Civitanova Marche has some beautiful street art in the form of murals on the harbour walls.

Mood on Day 7 as we make our way to the Trainstation in Rennes, to continue our #bikepacking trip further inland. It is one of those early autumn days where you struggle to get on the road, because the fog is moist and its just above 12°C but as soon as you managed to get in the saddle, it is utterly beautiful. #cycling #biketouring #biketooter #france #normandy

Day 6: Fano - Ancona

Relatively boring leg turned unexpectedly exciting today as the bolt fixing the saddle to the seat post sheared off and the saddle just broke away under my butt. Luckily it took just a quick trip to the mechanic (shoutout to Bike Station in Fano) to get the bolt replaced.

Ancona is a weird one: Very industrial, a lot of traffic and seemingly not very tourist friendly despite having all the ingredients.
