  1. Rate my stealth camping setup for hammock driven development.

I combined visa run and eyes checkup with no-laptop lizard-petting vacation. Quite happy so far, my stress level is gradually decreasing.

  2. Now _this_ is what I'd call actual stealth camping. Not a sprinter van with solar panels on the roof. No, it's just a stack of pallets.

  4. @quirk @AlSweigart Well, I didn't have any fixed plans for this afternoon anyway. Thanks for this new time sink!

  5. Ready for #Stealthcamping, this time actually a bit more stealthy than last time's bright orange t-shirt.

  6. CW: 🏕 Honda Element Camping Build ⛺

Got a 2003 Honda Element (OG without sunroof and with stick shift) and I have restored it to make it into a small camper during the weekends.

    Son far it has:
    - New paint
    - Roof rack
    - New tail and side lights
    - Cleaned the head lights (will buy new ones soonish)
    - Original front seat covers
    - Bug deflector
    - Side steps
    - Tinted windows
    - Heat shield window covers for all windows
    - Luno custom air matress

Hope to go solo camping for 2 nights soon to test the build out. Waiting on side window bug screens that have been ordered.

This is not a van life thing, it is just for weekends here and there. Hoping to catch a starry night away from the city. 🌠

Hope to one day install a hitch and a super small teardrop trailer. Also get a roof box. Thought about a rooftop tent but they seem way to expensive for what they are.

Next post on the topic will be about what I have gathered so far for camping gear.

Share your build in the replies. 🙏

  7. Lesson #1 in #stealthcamping:

    - don't hike just with an orange T-Shirt and neon rain coat if you want to hide in the woods🤦‍♂️
    - mobiles like to fall out of trouser pockets in the most unfortunate situations, eg on top of a pile of trees with only small gaps inbetween 🥴
    - it is fun!

  8. Doing something very unproffessorial over the weekend. Cross thumbs that the weather is going to be decent. #hiking #stealthcamping 🚶‍♂️🏕️
