On day 3 we cycled to Trieste.
Pro tip: there is a ferry from downtown to Muggia to skip the awful industrial port district of Trieste, running hourly, 6 EUR with bike. Useful when riding #EuroVelo8 or the #Parenzana trail.

We stayed two nights in Kaki Plac, which is probably the best camp site on the Adriatic coast!
It is a hidden gem in a terraced forest, no caravans with German pensioners, everything is built and cared for with love. They have some actual kaki trees bearing fruit. The owner is extremely friendly.
There were two other guests on the entire site, season ends this weekend…

Fahrrad richten: Kassette reinigen, vieles checken. Den 28mm Reifen, noch gut mit Gummi aber fast trocken, endlich mit 30mm upgraden. Kampfiz dem TPU-Schlauch - "Umzug" von 28 auf 30mm will mir nicht gelingen. Die Reifen flutschen suuper auf die Felge. Allmählich steifen die Spannung. Täglich ein wenig bewegen (!)
