Built myself a tiny #Steam #Machine. The NUC 14 was on sale and the disks and RAM were salvaged from my computer bits draw. 9TB of storage, 32GB of RAM and an Intel 155h (with Arc iGPU).

It should be able to play anything the Steam Deck can, anything more demanding can be streamed from our home server.

Running #Bazzite with Android TV via Waydroid.  It has basic HDMI CEC and an RF remote which will boot it up along with the telly box. Still tinkering on the software side and having fun with the new Linux build of 240-MP (https://github.com/anthonycaccese/240-MP).

Même un enfant saisit cela très bien : il est roi, il est invulnérable. Mais l’enfant grandit, il oublie. Et les hommes ont grandi, les nations, les civilisations, chacune cherchant à sa façon le Grand Secret, le simple secret – par les armes, les conquêtes, par la méditation, la magie, par la beauté, la religion ou la science. Et à vrai dire, nous ne savons pas très bien qui est le plus avancé, de l’ouvrier de l’Acropole, du mage de Thèbes ou de l’astronaute de Cap Kennedy, ni même du moine de Cîteaux, parce que les uns ont rejeté la vie pour la comprendre, les autres l’ont prise sans la comprendre, d’autres ont laissé une trace de beauté, et d’autres une traînée blanche dans un ciel pareil – nous sommes les derniers sur la liste, c’est tout. Et notre magie, nous ne la tenons pas encore. Le point, le tout petit point puissant, est toujours là sur la plage du grand monde, il brille pour qui veut, tel qu’il était quand nous n’étions pas encore hommes sous les étoiles.

Pourtant, le Secret, d’autres l’ont touché : les Grecs l’avaient peut-être, les Égyptiens aussi et certainement les Rishi des temps védiques. Mais il en est des secrets comme des fleurs sur le bel arbre, ils ont leur saison, leur obscure poussée, leur éclosion soudaine. Pour toute chose, il est un « moment », même pour la conjonction des astres sur nos têtes et le passage du cormoran sur le rocher blanchi d’écume, peut-être même pour cette écume un instant jaillie au rythme de la vague, et tout se meut selon un rite unique. Et de même pour l’homme. Un secret, c’est-à-dire une connaissance, c’est-à-dire un pouvoir, a son temps organique, et une petite cellule isolée, plus évoluée que d’autres, ne peut pas incarner le pouvoir de sa connaissance, c’est-à-dire changer le monde, accélérer la floraison du grand arbre, à moins que tout le reste du terrain évolutif ne soit prêt.

Et le temps est venu.
