What a huge difference 24 hours or a single hour can make, the coast was completely socked in by thick fog when I got there it was sunny and beautiful out earlier yesterday but still is turning out pretty nice today! Two pics are when I arrived and when I was leaving. Good weekend with two paddles and some fun little surfs! In coastal news, it was sunny and lovely this morning so I loaded up and went out for a good paddle and some not great but still waaaay better than nothing waves to surf over in Capitola. The highlight over was a sweet fly by from a big bat ray! And there was a quad pod of dolphins, some other paddleboarders ended up getting really close, within ten feet of them, while they were breaching! Very good stuff indeed! #coast #montereybay #dolphins #sup #paddleboarding

Pretty nice paddle and surf outing this morning as long as you don't mind crowds! There must have been close to 80 folks out in the water at Capitola, well more than a hundred with the scrubs on boogie board waves further in. That made it kind of hard to catch and ride a wave and there were long intervals between sets. Still, I grabbed a couple of good rides before the trek back to New Brighton. And I saw a bat ray coming back so that was a big bonus! #SUP #supsurfing #paddleboarding
