This is my favorite road in wine country. It travels down the Napa and Sonoma border on the top of the western edge of the Mayacamas Range. This view is looking north. On the right is the Napa Mt Veeder AVA. On the left is the Sonoma Moon Mountain AVA. The road ends at the Random Ridge Vineyards and the Hanna Bismarck Knob Vineyards. It goes past Skye Vineyards and there is a good view of the Mayacamas Vineyards to the east. Best to have 4wd. #WineCountry #Sonoma #Napa

I am cooking dinner so I needed some company 2015 Schrader Cellars CCS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark jammy fruit on the nose with a hint of leather on the nose, with currants, earth, and more leather on the palate. Nice finish.
