'01 Private Reserve is stuffed but balanced, with beautiful fruit and some grip still on the finish. Tasted next to 01 Schrader, I preferred this, even though I brought Schrader. 😄
The styles of this and the Schrader were very different, Schrader showing more finesse, this more depth. And beautifully balanced, opulence tamped down a bit thanks to age, perfectly integrated.
Overall, this super CabSauv is holding brilliantly. 14.2% alc. New vintages, about $175

Back in the 90s, I knew someone whose stepfather owned 850 acres outside of Napa. The property included the ruins of Napa Soda Springs, a Victorian-era resort.
I saw that he recently sold the property to Restoration Hardware.
