Good mornings from Chiltern my friendly tooters. I was thinking that it was quite a mild morning as I stoked the fire first thing today but that could well be because of the fog I woke to & the house having residual warmth from said fire. It’s apparently about 3c outside & we’re heading to 13c today.
I have fed the dogs & cat, but haven’t ventured down to the chook pen yet as it’s pretty dreary out there. Dawn picture of the back garden attached. They will be wanting their morning grain & greens soon though.
Plan today is that once I’m ready I’ll take the dogs for a decent walk as while it’s grey, dreary & foggy it’s not raining & doggies need walkies 😁.
After that it’s picking up a friend in the Qashqai & heading to Rutherglen for a drive, learn a bit more about the car & figure out how to turn off the bum heater. Read some of the manual last night & I think I know which button to press & my goodness it has a lot of buttons to figure out what’s what! Brunch or lunch down in Rutherglen then back to Chiltern.

Earlier, #Pooch and I visited a local park we hadn't been to in a while. When we started our #DogWalk, I first was disappointed that they'd covered the rustic, pebble-strewn paths with concrete.
It was a beautiful morning so we were quite #happy. We met a few #dogs and their people along the way, so took our time and enjoyed.
Wasn't til we hit a fairly steep grade marked "Wheelchair access" I saw they'd made the entire trail wheelchair accessible! Even Happier!

On tonight's #DogWalk I came across this very lucky Common Toad (Bufo bufo).
Why lucky, you ask? Well, firstly the toad is now famous due to being posted on the Fediverse. Secondly, I nearly didn't see it in the dark, and had to do an emergency jump to avoid stepping on it.
Isn't the toad pretty?
