One of my favorite features of Arch Linux truly is how straightforward the update process is. No opaque throbber that doesn't tell you what's going on. No getting stuck at 99% for no reason whatsoever. Really fast downloads! Almost everything on the system is updated, even the bootloader if set up correctly (but not Flatpak apps).
I just feel like I want to toot about this in the hope that at least one Arch maintainer sees how much their work on the distro is appreciated.

It's #September, and that means I'm personally inclined testing new things, making new not-new-year resolutions, trying to improve my habits and trying to be a better person. I've seen this pattern so much in the last 6/7 years that it feels like my life is a script written by someone else. I actually like this feeling.
Anyway, among others, I'm experimenting a bit with #grayscale only interfaces (both on my PC and on my Smartphone).
The goal? Reduce #distractions (duh), but also be "more present" when reading something (I often find myself skimming through text instead of reading it carefully).On #GNOME, I installed two extensions, they look great:

- PaperShell (https://github.com/LaloVene/PaperShell)

Immer mehr Webseiten hängen heute von externen Diensten ab. Fällt einer dieser Dienste aus, kann plötzlich ein ganzes Webprojekt betroffen sein – obwohl der eigene Server eigentlich völlig in Ordnung ist.
Genau deshalb verfolgen wir bei unseren Projekten einen anderen Ansatz: möglichst wenig aus der Hand geben, Systeme bewusst voneinander trennen und Probleme früh erkennen, bevor daraus ein Ausfall wird.
