  1. Hello Mastodonians! I am wondering on whether or not I should transfer my account to another server? Basically the server I’ve been using has a ton of lag as well as the admin of the server hasn’t posted in over a year, so I thought I should potentially move in case this server I’m on goes dark all the sudden as I don’t want to lose my account and all my followers. If I should move, any suggestions on which server to move to? #Mastodon #Server #Servers #Fediverse #Neurodivergent #Autistic

  10. To me, #NVIDIA plan has been always been vertical ingration.

They don't want to have the best GPU for AI, they want to offer the full stack: GPU + CPU + Software.

They got the GPU part and the Software (CUDA) part ready. Their CPU is the shaky part, and how much they can push ARM is the key to their success.

Eventually they'll sell complete GPU+CPU servers, leaving out AMD and Intel for scraps.

  21. Ollama fixed CVE-2026-7482 in v0.17.1, a critical out-of-bounds read flaw that could leak API keys, prompts, and chat data from exposed servers via crafted GGUF files. 🔓
Researchers also disclosed unpatched Windows update flaws enabling persistent code execution through unsigned updates and path traversal in Ollama 0.12.10–0.17.5. ⚠️

  23. Linux kernel maintainers proposed “Killswitch,” letting admins disable vulnerable kernel functions at runtime while patches are built and deployed. 🛡️
The proposal follows CopyFail and Dirty Frag privilege-escalation flaws, allowing vulnerable subsystems to fail safely instead of remaining exploitable in production. 🐧
