  1. Ordinary #WiFi can now identify people with near perfect accuracy

    source: sciencedaily.com/releases/2026…

    Scientists in #Germany have demonstrated a startling new form of surveillance: identifying people using nothing more than ordinary WiFi signals. By #analyzing how #radio waves bounce around a room, #researchers can effectively “see” and #recognize individuals — even if they are not carrying a #device and even if their #phone is turned off.

  4. What a nice, handy little #device — and it runs entirely on free #software.

    You should skip over the first part—it’s full of too much #advertising and self-promotion. The second part about the hardware—from the case to the electronics—is fascinating. All these features make my heart race with excitement. The whole thing even runs on Linux, and you can easily run your own programs on it and build your own extensions. Let's be honest—Big Tech would never offer us something like this. They'd lock us out and force us to buy expensive, certified add-ons. It's a project well worth supporting. Unfortunately, the electronics are very expensive due to the #AI bubble. But if you're real hackers, you can build the parts you really need yourself using cheaper components.

    That moment while cleaning out your old car for eventual transfer to insurance as a total loss, you realize you actually *didn’t* loan, forget about, and subsequently lose your trusty pro audio direct box—discovering it had slid deep underneath the car seat!

  11. <Sarcasm>

    One thing I like about Ubuntu Server LTS is that they never change *anything* when it comes down to

    * NIC
    * SSD
    * HDD
    * RAID
    device names

    They are *never ever* changed, and you never have to send someone on a drive on another continent 4,000 nautical miles away from you, which is also thousands and thousands of land miles miles away to go and fix, those bloody device names from a console physically connected to the server.

    You can replace Ubuntu server {LTS} with any other distribution within the Linux realm

    That has never ever happened in Linux to me

  16. #MissKittyPolitics #AI #research It is so hard to get a word in edgewise to talk about why you want #AI, just not the way they're shoving it down our throat. #Decentralized #AI does not fall prey to the same problems. And it only costs you whatever your #electricity costs to charge your #device.

#onderwijs #edutoot #device

At first i only create it for managing #passwords but it blew up into capability list you see in first pic and named it #PrjTurtlePSA I finally started to execute my idea in Aug 25 by creating its keyboard module and then the screen dwaw module but encountering issue and gave up. Resuming it again, currently doing the PB Logic, New updates soon!

  25. “Low- and Mid-Tier Mobile for the Real World (2025)” by @csswizardry

    🔗 csswizardry.com/2025/08/low-an

    > It’s important to remember that ‘low-tier’ does not mean old. Likewise, ‘mid-tier’ does not mean ‘a flagship from 2018’. They are a device class in their own right and it’s perfectly possible for your users to be using brand new low-tier devices. As such, we needn’t look to the past for our benchmarks.
