So, I’ve switched from #evernote to #obsidian a couple of months ago encouraged by @vladcampos . I just realized today that I do not miss #evernote at all. Thanks Vlad!

Ps I have used a couple of community plugins - like #notebooknavigator, #homepage, #notetoolbar and #omnisearch to get features I relied on in Evernote. I also use beautiful Velocity theme.

So today I spent half an hour trying to convince #Obsidian to do paragraph spacing, the one thing that I would love that would make me want to write longer form fiction in there too (ie the little novel that could one day make it to first draft)

I added a lot of stuff I found online to the custom css but nothing works!

If anyone has any suggestions?

Я настроил свою работу так, что у меня в одной среде - 6 компьютеров. Хочу подробнее описать как у меня устроена командная работа с Claude Code У меня шесть машин: всегда включённый десктоп, два ноутбука на Windows, два Мака и Linux-VPS. За ними работают три человека. На каждой машине свой Claude Code, свой логин. Я сажусь за любой компьютер и пишу: «напомни, что коллега вчера делал с гейтом публикации, хочу продолжить». И продолжаю. Не спрашиваю в чате, не жду, пока передадут дела, не читаю сорок сообщений, чтобы понять, что имелось в виду. Все что делают коллеги - я вижу и апдейты по любым их сессиям могу запросить у своего клода, хотя все компьютеры\ноутбуки залогинены в разных клод код аккаунтах Так у меня работает с июня.

Рефакторинг моего Obsidian: как я перестроил хранилище после предыдущей статьи

Какое-то время назад я выкладывал статью на Хабр про свое obsidian хранилище. Я получил хороший фидбэк и некоторые идеи. Также я понял, что довольно большая часть моего obsidian нуждается в оптимизации и структуризации. В итоге нашел свободный выходной, чтобы немного перестроить хранилище. Я все это сделал и тут расскажу, как теперь выглядит мой obsidian. Кроме простой структуризации и удаления лишнего, я также провел некоторые махинации над кодом dataviewjs своей библиотеки книг и доделал свою домашнюю страницу, добавив интеграцию со своей основной библиотекой и поработав на css составляющей. В общем-то были еще некоторые изменения, но об этом всем будет далее.

Finally fixed the MCP_DOCKER extension for #Claude and struggled with #TaskForge, a companion app for #Obsidian. A folder of a hundred TaskNotes and none of them show up properly in the app. Claude suggested switching from a tag-filter to a YAML properties filter, and then while using MCP analyzed my tasknotes and spotted a common YAML property. Fixed it up, and suddenly all my TaskNotes behave themselves. Then I learned that recurrence wasn’t based on due date, but on scheduled date. Fixed!

I automatically create a new daily note each day in #Obsidian and everything for the day goes there; action items, meeting notes (linked to a project doc where appropriate), and just general notes. Action items are always tasks.

At the end of the day, I’ll review the daily note, clean up anything that needs to be, and then sync my action item tasks into #OmniFocus using my Obsidian “OmniFocus Task Sync” plugin. It's a 100% frictionless workflow for me.

My daily note generally consists of two things:
1. I have a note called "Daily Note", which has a link to the things that are big on my plate that will be touched during the week. I update that note maybe two or three times a week, but not that often.
2. I have a perspective in OmniFocus that is generally a list of flagged tasks and tasks that have a date of today, which could be the due date, the deferred date, or any of the dates that OmniFocus uses.

What does your daily note look like — minimal, packed, or somewhere in between?

Mnie #Obsidian towarzyszy od niedawna i trochę przez przypadek. Uwielbiam notowanie w #Markdown (.md), a aplikacja używa go domyślnie, no i jest darmowa—dzięki @kepano .

Notatki można niezwykle prosto łączyć ze sobą [[wiki-linkami]], a zależności między nimi łatwo śledzić, w tym zwizualizowane na grafie, co bywa pomocne oraz inspirujące, gdy przegląda się najbliższe relacje i powiązane w nich informacje.

Ja używałem—przez lata—wielu rozwiązań (Google Keep, OneNote, Apple Notes, NotePlan, Craft), ale od pierwszej chwili polubiłem Obsidian i teraz wdrażam w nim zarządzanie swoimi notatkami. Poznaję również bardziej zaawansowane funkcjonalności, których w nim nie brakuje, dzięki niezliczonym wtyczkom. Myślę, że zagości u mnie na dobre.

Czy stosujecie Obsidian na swoje potrzeby?

A może macie inny ulubiony program do zarządzania notatkami i wiedzą? Za co go cenicie?

I see a lot of setups with Obsidian and AIs where you add sources, AI processes them, creates a wiki, and you ask questions to interact with it. My dilemma is: how do you know what questions to ask if you didn’t read the ingested material?

My preference goes to .txt because there is practically no Markdown. But other applications do prefer .md.

Note that this is one-way. You can't import it back in. It's purely for safe-keeping notes.

Nice video of overdone #ai utilization

Making a 2nd brain manually by writing notes, collecting snippets and link them, makes sense.

The pro of this #obsidian method is that you get a machine and —most of all— human readable 'database' of information in which you can dabble and stumble upon your own genius brain farts.

This Karpathy hype however is just good marketing by the industry to let us burn shiploads of tokens without using our first brain properly.

Das war bei bisherigen Versuchen mit Tools wie #obsidian, #joplin usw. immer meine Sackgasse. Ist man ein paar Wochen aus der Routine raus, verbringt man mehr Zeit mit dem Tools selbst, als mit dem sinnvollen Einfüllen von Inhalten, um sich wieder einzufinden. Und dann habe ich schnell die Lust verloren und es ist eine weitere Notizwüste entstanden.

Aber vielleicht liegt das auch daran, dass ich vom Typ her gar nicht der Notiz- und Routinenmensch bin. 🤔
