Recently upgraded #TriliumNotes and the most difficult part of it was in remembering - no, I don't have the RPM version installed, no I don't have the tar/gz version installed, yes I have the server version installed. Maybe I should make a note about it... But overall, I'm really happy with it as a replacement to Notion/Obsidian/OneNote/etc.

- #Everdo for to-do lists (although I've suspected for a while that #GTD isn't all it's cracked up to be and am looking for a better alternative)
- @libreoffice and occasionally in-browser Nextcloud for #office software

After a bit of tinkering, this method seems nice for typing HTMLElements based on the classes you expect them to be.
You give it a query selector and a HTMLElement subclass you're expecting it to be. It'll then thrown an error if its missing or mis-typed. Then you have a strongly typed variable with that element. All in #JavaScript

#BulletJournal s have helped me a lot. I've just made a companion app that backs up #journal pages or other #handwritten #notes by scanning with a phone camera. It also does full text search, copy-paste from your notes, and I'm adding more features.

I had a day that turned to be a "research day" in that I read a lot of stuff and made a lot of notes about what I read.
I ended up with 21 new topics or ideas to write about. I can't remember when was the last time I got more than 20 new very foundational ideas in a day.
I love it. Not only do I have these ideas, I have a ton of notes for them so writing the actual pieces will be easier and the outcome better when I actually get to them.

A day that starts with a writing session is a good day.
In forums and social media I often run into a thinking where people want quick wins and shortcuts to having a large notes system without having to put in the work.
That's a dangerous trap!
Writing and processing your notes is the important bit. It's called thinking and without it, a knowledge base is kinda useless.
I often do double processing: quick note + rewrite to digital system.
