QuickDraw viewer now has YUV2 support. Turns out my problem was that normally U and V are unsigned bytes minus 128, but this codec uses signed bytes. #computergraphic #quickdraw #retrocomputing #classicmac

I started working on supporting QuickTime component video images in my QuickDraw viewer. I get something decoding it as "yuvs 422" using the Core Video framework on Mac OS X, but clearly the chrome/lumina is wrong: everything is green… #quickdraw #retrocomputing #computergraphic #quicktime #swift

The official manual is quite incomplete and it drives me crazy.
