Lucid Dreaming
In some short periods of my life, I have had lucid dreams, which to me is a very exciting and interesting state of being. Recent research into the matter shows lucid dreaming to be a third state of consciousness, which in itself is exciting, but the actual experience of being awake in a dream and, to some extent, being able to control the dream is something else. It’s been a while since I have been able to do it consistently, and none of the well-known techniques has helped. But last night, something interesting happened: I woke up involuntarily at around 3 AM and was awake for an hour, and as I proceeded to get back to sleep, I entered the lucid dream space. Before that, there is the liminal space in between being awake and asleep, and there I had an image in my mind of the real world being in my left field of view, and on the right-hand side was the dream world behind a barrier of sorts. But I could see the contours of a hole in the barrier, and the more I focused on that opening, and the more I had a kind of inner dialogue about that, the more it opened up until I could put my head inside it, and after a bit of mental struggle I eventually, I floated into or up to a room that felt a bit like a gravity-free mental fitness room (for lack of a better description) where I could float around and examine different objects. It lasted for a while, and then I gently left the space and woke up again, but with a feeling of a breakthrough and with a will and motivation to go back there to explore that space more, much more if possible. This I will attempt tonight. And will report back; perhaps this could be useful for others to try. Looking forward to it..

I woke up this morning, had breakfast, then sat down and remembered a disturbing #dream.
On a road was a line of cars. They were stopped and not moving. Was there a crash? My view kept moving forward, going around the long line of cars.
I saw a car door open and a human body in the driver's seat, lifeless. The car was on fire. I considered going to pull the body out. But there was a gulf of flames around the vehicle. More cars ahead were the same: lifeless bodies and #fire.

I had a #dream i was reading a webcomic.
Mixed media style, some hand drawn, some animated, some live action clips and the studio was well funded.
I was on the page about a soldier of an old empire | kingdom that was tasked by the king to brutalize the people of the conquered land. However, the empire was later pushed back and the soldier was stranded in the foreign lands.
He was eventually captured and sentenced to death, starting with ritualized torture. In his afterlife, he became a demon, still having the nail in his head that finally killed him and the chains of his imprisonment.
He returns to Earth after being accidentally summoned and is actively pursuing the main character group responsible, also leaving behind victims in his wake (killed by the same ritual that ended his mortal life).
After I finished reading the latest page, I went to the News section of the site. The studio was getting accused of having a staff member of being convicted of a violent crime before | or being a murderer because of the gruesome content ("nothing but violence", "not real art"). The official response was that all staff members have no criminal records. -

I also dreamed I had an AM/FM stereo system with a search function that could conjure physical objects either from the station or from near other people's radios in its range. Mostly, I used it for snacks.

I dreamed I was trapped in a story world controlled by a malevolent man who wanted me to surrender or give him something or deem him worthy in some way so he could escape into the real world. We went through multiple iterations of this game: I was a wealthy heiress and he a business magnate, he was a salesman, a carnival barker, and eventually, an evil Wild West sheriff running a town. Each time I poured him out and walked away. I woke up walking across the frost covered surface of Mars.

I dreamed myself and another person were sneaking across the desert at night, heading toward lights on the horizon. We might have been soldiers? We had rifles and basic survival gear. We camped out for the night in a dry thicket, but I woke up hours later to armed men prowling in our direction. I tried to crawl into a low place to hide better but I could hear a man speaking a foreign language nearby. I was afraid I was about to get bayoneted to death when I woke up.

Probably from having a straight edge razor blade shave the other day and now getting used to wearing a wedding band and complaining about the videos my mom took of the wedding appearing in potato quality when I got them originally via text, it all blended together in my #dream last night so that Ringo Starr gave me a shave using a potato peeler. 😂🤷🏻♂️
