When I watched #TronLegacy, I thought casting #GarrettHedlund as the lead was a huge mistake since the character seemed so wooden, but after seeing him chew up the scenery in #TulsaKing, it is clear that #Tron truly wasted his potential, rather than vice versa.

[yawns] Back from a week in Hawaii, which was a wonderful break from winter in Pennsylvania.
Now it's time to fire up the #TronLegacy soundtrack and purge some email.

So now I’m watching Tron Legacy (2010). At the start of the film, we see that two of the lead characters from the previous film have become the co-CEOs of the company, rewarded for their accomplishments. One had written a very popular videogame, and the other some infosec software.
The third lead character from the previous film, a woman, who had invented an actual star-trek-like transporter that can dematerialize and rematerialize people, gets no mention whatsoever. Like, after inventing the most incredible and valuable technology of her century, she is forgotten with her invention moldering in a basement.
Sadly, this is the most realistic aspect of the film.

Pues ya he visto #TronAres. A ver, no es tan horrible como la pintaban y me esperaba, pero es completamente prescindible. Los continuos guiños que hacen a la película original solo me han dado ganas de apreciarla más y volverla a ver (incluso su secuela #TronLegacy es mejor). Al protagonista le querían dar una complejidad y se queda en un quiero y no puedo con la profundidad de un charco, que además interpretado por #JaredLeto que no trago, pues no he conseguido conectar con él. ¡Pero si tienes hasta a una #GillianAnderson totalmente desaprovechada! Eso si, visualmente es un espectáculo y los efectos especiales son tremendos, pero en una peli vacía quedan como fuegos artificiales.

Just watched Tron Legacy and Tron Ares, and was a bit disappointed that ares did not picked up where legacy ended.
But I did realise one thing why people loved both films and now have a cult following, despite the films bombing at the box office.
Not a fan of Jared Leto but I really liked him as Ares and imho he did a fabulous job.

#TronAres wasn't "as bad" as the media portrayed. It wasn't Oscar worthy, but it was solidly enjoyable. I certainly enjoyed #TronLegacy more than Ares, but that comes with familiarity. It was good, I enjoyed it, and I felt I got my money's worth out of it.
Leto's performance in Ares most certainly made up for Morbius. 🤣

Glad that I didn't go to see it at the theater.
I've got the original Tron (which seems lame now but was advanced in its time) & #TronLegacy on #DVD.
#TronLegacy was much better than Ares. Will buy Ares on DVD to complete the set but ONLY if I can get it for cheap because I'll probably never watch it again. 🤷♂️

habe neulich Blu Ray von #Tron gekauft. Ich gebe zu, der erste Kauf war ein Fehlkauf, weil es #TronLegacy war. Ich wollte das Original und ich dachte "Legacy" wäre inzwischen die Bezeichnung. na gut, war ein Schnäppchen, habe dann auch das original gekauft und gestern beide hintereinander geschaut. Aber was für ein Gefälle! Legacy ist in jeder Hinsicht schwach und vermisst vor allem konkreten den Bezug zur Computertechnik.

Podrá no ser la mejor obra de #cienciaficcion de la historia, pero qué gozada cada vez que veo "Tron: Legacy", qué maravilla visual, qué perfección técnica, qué limpieza y pulcritud. Y qué universo tan original.
Es verdad que hacía diez años que no la veía y no me acordaba de mucho, así que he hecho bien en revisionarla.
