I just pushed the support for the rotation of the new #Wacom Art Pen 2 🖌️ in #GIMP. This will be available in @GIMP 3.4.
Maybe I will even decide to back port this feature to a 3.2 micro release so that artists 👨🎨 with such hardware won't have to wait for months. 🤷

Solved the problem by buying a new one
UPDATE: funfact: the pen of the new intuos does not work with the old one
on the plus side: works out of the box with ubuntu linux just like the old one
but it still has a miro-usb instead of usb-c

i was looking for a new pen for my pretty old wacom intuos ctl 490
turns out the new model in the same area as mine just cost ~35€
that's really sad throwing away a totally working tablet just because the pen is missing (it was also damaged by a fall too) -

Täytyy kyllä sanoa että rakastan Wacomin sähkörihvelitauluani. En minä sillä paljoa tee, mutta mahdollisuus kirjoittaa omalla käsialalla kuvien päälle todella tuo sen tietyn je ne sais quoi. Kenties ihmisyyden kokemuksen tavalla jolla valmisfonttien ja vektorinuolten kanssa säätäminen ei vain tavoita?
Yksi paremmin käytetyistä viiskymppisistä. Harmittaa vain kun siinä on micro-B-USB -liitin, vaikka USB-C oli ollut tätä valmistettaessa olemassa jo useampia vuosia.

I found my hack to substitute the Wacom Pro Pen 2 nibs. Nylon cord in 0,8mm thickness. No lagging at all. And the cord isn't falling out because cutting it widened the back end by a tiny margin.
