best secondary car-related purchase (trailer) i have ever made beside the next best car-related purchase i have made.
This trailer has been infinitely useful even if the car is not technically "rated" for it, a cross-Canada trip and endless runs to the transfer depot, stores, soil dispensary, and rock yard have made it a huge part of our home life. Even if the lights on it only work 75% of the time (seriously... how can they not make these things more robust?)
And the little electric pump is so great. Can plug in to both 120V home and 12V car outlet, has multiple ends for different types of tires and inflatable things. Great for home, car and camping. Set a PSI or kPa, hit the go button and it runs until the pressure is met.
Highly recommend! (both purchased at CanTire but the trailer comes from many places under different names (all made in Ontario). The pump is CanTire brand Motomaster

@rradczewski I have no real idea of elixir programming but if this does what I think I’d expect a solution based on something like an ordered set for comparison or transformation to integers.
Does this make sense in #elixir?(No snark intended, it’s just curiosity. Im not a dev and especially when programming ruby in the past I spent too many hours on figuring out the one true beautiful way to do something.)

I remember before I got into freelance, Nebula.TV had a job opening and by all accounts I went bananas on my resume using #Inkscape. #TIL if you're a #WebDev on #Linux you might want to put a `.nomedia` file in your project folders.
GNOME's system-wide search will index project folders in your home directory. This includes nodes_modules/ and it wastes a lot of CPU time indexing those folders. The `.nomedia` file tells it not to index whatever folder that file is in.
I noticed this in the “Resources” app when I had it sort by “Total CPU Time.”

these two major fires happened nine days apart. Either one could have come into town with the right conditions. We are having a community meeting on Wednesday to go over what happened last year. It's going to be interesting and probably pretty emotional. Rightly so.
I honestly think a big reason why most of the Liberal Party just doesn't get it is because they are centered in urban and sub urban Ontario and don't have to worry about their homes burning down every year.
And allow me to just stop you right there before you say this is normal for our neck of the woods.
Fires? sure. Fires that threaten towns on Vancouver Island. No. Never. Not in my lifetime. Nor anyone elses.

BC Hydro has announced it will add 8500 gigawatt hours per year from solar and wind over two years. They will come online by 2033 and boost the capacity by 13%. Most of it with better than 50% First Nations ownership.
Site C was over $10 Billion and produces 5100GWh annually.
Also by comparison, there is no Pipeline project and no First Nations have bought Transmountain.

Because apparently: “the plan, which is called Powering Canada Strong, will lower the cost of electricity for seven in 10 Canadian households by expanding the role that natural gas plays in the energy mix.”
Even though solar and wind and batteries/other storage are the cheapest sources of grid-scale electricity in the world.
What they are actually going to do is use this to justify LNG plants that ship natural gas to *other* countries to electrify their grids even though, again, it is far cheaper to do renewables.

Plenty of bad and annoying things about Apple and iCloud in particular, but one good experience I've always had is if I buy something on the App Store or a subscription or anything through the Apple Store, and then ask for a refund within a few hours or days, they pretty much always refund it in full within 24 hours of the request.
It makes doing things like trying out a bit of software... realizing I don't like it or it doesn't do what I want... and ‘giving it back' much easier.
