  9. Faded a "coming later" card to 0.45 opacity so it would sit back from the live ones. Then I measured it.

Even pure black text on that card reaches 3.16 to 1. Not the grey I had picked, black, the best case the card allows.

That is the part worth keeping. A blanket fade over text on a light background cannot meet AA at any colour, so there was no better colour to find. The fade came out entirely, and a badge and a muted body tone carry the recession instead.

  13. 📝 New Article!

The EU AI Act's chatbot rule started five days ago. My own plugin was breaking it.

Article 50 of the EU AI Act has applied since 2 August 2026: a person must be told they are talking to an AI, before or at the very beginning. My WordPress chatbot's default greeting told them nothing. What the rule actually says, and the four decisions it took to ship the fix.

The chat-strike applet for my system features some cool retro stuff such as voice commands, radio commands and team selection.

Of course, there are many other nostalgic applets available, too! 💚

  36. 🦖 HTMLInputElement: colorSpace property
    🟧 Limited availability

    developer.mozilla.org/en-US/do

The colorSpace property of the HTMLInputElement interface reflects the <input> element's colorspace attribute, which indicates whether the color space of the serialized CSS color is sRGB (the default) or display-p3. It is only relevant to color controls.
