Well, I'm finished! #Tutter :tutter: now migrated from an old #Kubernetes cluster with custom built and patched container image to it's own #NixOS vm! 🎉
Hopefully this'll help me maintain it easier, the migration from the old node with the kubernetes was necessary, so at least I tried this!Mental note: I'll need to write a blogpost about this process... So sad, that I still want to migrate my site from #Hugo to something static (manual html + css (maybe + js)) or ssg...

While there are well known disadvantages of growing up in a tiny rural community with its ever so romantic one room school house, there are lots of great skills, for lessons:
You can not procrastinate.
You never get all the weeds.
Control is an illusion, you do your best and that's it.

I really like skinny jeans.
My entire life I was big until relatively recently. I dropped almost my current weight of 162 over 2 years. I am 6 foot 2 so that is quite thin.
My legs are NOTHING BUT MUSCLE and THICK as I do nothing but walk.
I make those skinny jeans look good now, and it's nice to feel sexy for the first time in my life.
Though #bodydysmorphia is strange, as I am still big in my head.
I get surprised when I see my reflection somewhere.

So some time ago someone on Mastodon posted that they're biking into Portugal from Spain. I just sent them a message saying hi, and that should they ever be passing into central rural Portugal, i offer a couch to crash, a warm shower and nice warm meals. This person is moving around all mainland europe, essentially with just their bike, a tent and a water bottle.
Some weeks later, this person who i had only exchanged with just a couple of direct msgs here on Mastodon , was resting for 2 nights at my house, having conversation and hanging out. Up to the exact moment we met we both barely knew each other's names, how we looked, what kind of people we were. I didn't even know the exact date and time they were coming.
It reminded me of the great days of when i used couchsurfing .com when it was still completely free. Circumstances changed since then, and i had stopped using it for a long time, and i believe couchsurfing.com is no longer completely free. But having a similar experience after so long, and hosting someone completely random without any transaction happening except pure faith in people's goodness, reminded me once again of the joys of opening your doors to randoms. 1/2

I ain't ever done anything as insane as #trump and for some reason I've been taken to #mentalhealth inpatient facilities against my will 3 times, when I was awake for about 10 days straight because of massive pain issues, and everyone just thought I was insane.
We should get #elonmusk and Trump on a couple of 51/50 holds.

- #elitedangerous is an adequate substitute, but after 3k+ hours, its hard to be engrossed anymore.

I actually did 5 hours of work today in preparation for the coming week, by choice. Its probably been 10+ years since I chose that end of the work/life balance scale on a Sunday.

There are, I think, only two ways to get the #Filipino all over the world to use less—if not leave—Facebook and Twitter:
1. We need a @plurkofficial UI and UX; and
2. A #Friendster like UI and UX (original Friendster) …… for the #Fediverse and/or #ATmosphere ( #Bluesky ) networks.
With optional features like:
* Pages
* Videos and Shorts
* Games
* DM/PM
* Neat image galleryI think #Streams #Hubzilla and/or #Friendica fit for those options. We'll just need it to have a UI and UX similar to the original Friendster. A highly customizable profile and allowing HTML use not only in profiles but in comments as well.
For Plurk-like, we just need Plurk itself to federate, seriously. @plurkofficial yuhoo, time to federate!
Once up and running, we can get traditional media and social media writers to report on it, so Filipinos everywhere will be aware.
Then again, the #Philippines media generally ignored and is ignoring the Fediverse, Mastodon, and Bluesky, it's why very few Filipinos are aware of it. And telcos only provide free and/or discounted access to Meta products, Twitter, and Viber.
Though, I think it still is possible even without local telco support.
What do you think? What can get Filipinos to use Facebook and Twitter less, and more Fediverse and/or ATmosphere?

Why do so many of rich people's makeup artists make them look so orange? It's not just the giant toddler you're thinking of. Lots of rich people are walking around orange. Is it a symptom of afluenza or something? Do rich people see colors differently than the rest of us or something?

From 2010 to 2017, there was a thing called #AseanCitizen that we Aseans started as a grassroots movement. We were all bloggers from across, well, #ASEAN or South-East Asia.
Some of us joined together to produce one of the best multi-authored regional blogs. We talked about our cultures, write about what makes the region awesome. As well as, try to address the oftentimes silly and sometimes heated debates.
It's all gone now. Forgotten. The blogs dead or offline. We all grew up, got busy with our personal lives, and moved on separately. And the important reason? We lost interest in it as we started to see ASEAN was, is, and will never be for the grassroots.
That was the end of what was once a vibrant grassroot ASEAN Citizens effort. We did it all voluntarily. Without a single recognition from the top-down organisation that is ASEAN.
I had friends from #Cambodia, #Laos, #VietNam, #Thailand, #Singapore, #Malaysia, #Indonesia, #Brunei, and yes, even from #Myanmar (#Burma). (I'm from the #Philippines.) It was fun. It was not tiring at all. It was because we saw a bright future for ASEAN, and we believed in it completely.
But today? ASEAN is still a top-down organisation. They kept trying to get the grassroots involved, but they are always failing. Why? Because it is a top-down organisation, as simple as that. They will never understand until they shift their mindset and approach to bottom-up.
Who is ASEAN really for?
(P.S I want to restart this grassroots movement, but I just no longer have the spark. Give me a very good reason why I should give it another chance. Or, at least, guide the new generation.)

It’s Monday Morning, I’m halfway through my morning coffee and allergy season has begun. As I use caffeine to power through allergy brain fog my synapses are misfiring into oddness. These are random TTRPG thoughts.
- I’m about 80% through a sabbatical grant application. The proposed project is to write a TTRPG. So hopefully that’ll happen.
- The Ninth World Bestiary is about to make my Numenera table really uncomfortable. Yay.
- My last BFRPG session was a bottle episode. It was intense.
- I’ve got my Land of Eem review outlined. It’s going to take a bit to edit it, though, so I’ll be recording another video today that’ll go live first.
- Ecclesicon badges are on sale. Are you in the Philly/South Jersey area and want to spend a couple of days gaming? Come on out!
- I’m in the process of creating mini-golf rules for No Thank You, Evil! This should be interesting.
- The Dragonbane Bestiary has entered my review queue. This book is stunning. When my new YouTube payout hits I’ll be picking up the hardbound edition of the core rules.
- Dragonbane is going to be my next long-term campaign once my BFRPG campaign winds down.
- I had a wonderful conversation with Stephen Grodzicki, the founder of Pickpocket Press. His upcoming game, Tales of Argosa, is an update to the terrific Low Fantasy Gaming. Crowdfunding should launch in March 2024 1!
- There are so many games!
