  1. In 1999, we surfed the Web. Now we comb through it like a fantasy hero. Which posts are treasure, and which are deadly Mimics? What's real, and what's an impersonator trying to steal my attention?

Worse: reading all this bland AI monoculture text leads to us thinking bland AI monoculture thoughts.

  10. "What never came up in any review is that the friction we were removing has another name in my own field. Anna Cox and her colleagues call it a microboundary: a small obstacle placed before an interaction that keeps us from rushing from one context into the next. Their argument is that deliberately designed friction can interrupt automatic, mindless interaction and hand back a moment to think."

  18. 🎉 Happy Easter - Show me your Easter eggs :)
I have a 15-year-old homepage with a hidden chat from an old game 👉 yuna.berlin
    Guess the game?

Easter: a seasonal reminder that most companies have the imagination of a beige wall.
Let’s talk software Easter eggs – tiny sparks of joy buried under layers of Jira tickets.

    If your product has none?
Congratulations. Your engineers are either chained in the feature factory…
or your company is too visionless to let them play.

    Examples of fun companies:
    🐍 Snake while YouTube buffers
    🎮 GitHub mobile mini-game
    🙃 Blame-someone error pages

    Your product?
    ❌ No dark mode
    ❌ No gamification
    ❌ No clever errors
    ❌ No i18n
    ❌ No responsive design
    ❌ No joy

But hey, Time to Market, right?
    You’re not innovating. You’re duct-taping compliance machines.

No Easter eggs = No creative freedom
No themed UI = No empathy
    No jokes = No soul
No dev input = No ownership

    You’re not building software.
    You’re crafting digital despair.

Fix it. Or at least add a theme toggle.

    💀 Happy Easter.
    Go find your soul.

  19. 🚀 Oh look, another riveting exposé on Rails design systems, because clearly, in 2025, picking one is still rocket science! 🙄 Apparently, Business Class Blog's solution is to peruse a book while aimlessly wandering through the confusing wilderness of #shadcnui and #daisyUI. Fly high, Business Class, fly high! ✈️💤

  20. 🚀 Controversial take: #DesignThinking might be holding #ProductDiscovery back.

Why? They treat #conceptdesign as a separate phase, but that's a missed opportunity.

Integrating concept design into product discovery is a game-changer. It:

✅ Enhances your ability to visualize future user experiences.
✅ Improves decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
✅ Fosters a shared vision among your team.

  24. Working on the last prototypes, testing the workflow, refining tasks. Usability sessions are already booked for next week. Looking forward to connect with our users again. 🤩

  25. Working with user flow helps me most when I start thinking of how to guide a user through an app so that they can reach their goals fast and easy. I am also using flows to plan clickable prototypes for usability testing.

Are you using user flows in your projects? When and how are you doing it?

  26. Simple but effective ways to conduct user research:

    - Participate as a silent observer in onboarding or training sessions for users.

    - Schedule a user interview every now and then and get a 20-minute explanation of how a user uses the product and where they have difficulties.

    - Use the feedback from the customer success team.

  27. Having a single identity and being able to rely on hashtags — including the ability of clients to mute hashtags (so for instance someone could opt out of “politics” tags or selectively mute content of any hashtag kind) — might be the solution I would want, and then this could work orthogonally to joining a server that is more holistic (as opposed to a single interest)…
