As the worshipping the #deathcult for the last 50 years becomes harder to hide, the lies are more naked.
The lie of endless growth, trickle-down wealth, technological salvation and individual freedom are running into the material reality they created.
The mess can no no longer be hidden in the abstract.
#Climatechaos. Inequality. War. Social fragmentation. Political decay. #techshit.
The question now is impossible to keep ignoring, not whether the system has problems. It is whether we can see the problems clearly to stop worshipping the mess that created them.
This is where we need social composting. Turn the pile. Expose the assumptions. Keep what is useful. Let the dead ideas rot down.
Then grow something alive.

I wake before the alarm, turn it off before it sounds, and rise quietly to take pre-vigil coffee & toast in the quiet kitchen. Setting out, I reach Roosevelt Circle at 7:30, put up my big sign, couple my loudspeaker to my phone, and lean on the railing, holding up WE MUST BE BETTER ANCESTORS. I think I'm a soloist again, but Craige arrives midway through the hour.

The alarm jolts me out of an interesting dream (I was in a classroom making a solid point) and into the darkened bedroom; I pull myself into the world and move downstairs for coffee and toast. Then hit the road, arriving at Roosevelt Circle at 7:30, setting up my big sign, coupling my speaker, and holding up 2021 IPCC REPORT: "CODE RED" FOR HUMANITY. No Craige today.
