Monday morning and I wake with the alarm, shrug my way through the brief period of disorientation (what planet am I on? Is this Earth?) and drink my pre-vigil coffee in the kitchen before heading out to Roosevelt Circle, arriving at 7:30 and setting up my ALL-BLACK signage as usual for the start of the week. Craige arrives a couple of minutes later.

Thursday finds me waking with the alarm, drinking my pre-vigil coffee in a cloudy state, and finding that the sky above me as I walk to Roosevelt Circle is equally cloudy, a grey clotted mass suggesting torrents later in the day. Arriving at 7:32, a soloist again, I set up my big sign, couple my loudspeaker, and hold up 2021 IPCC REPORT: "CODE RED" FOR HUMANITY.
