Plenty of bad and annoying things about Apple and iCloud in particular, but one good experience I've always had is if I buy something on the App Store or a subscription or anything through the Apple Store, and then ask for a refund within a few hours or days, they pretty much always refund it in full within 24 hours of the request.
It makes doing things like trying out a bit of software... realizing I don't like it or it doesn't do what I want... and ‘giving it back' much easier.

Poundland in Accrington, Lancashire (the English one) today refused to allow access to an operator till for a customer in a wheelchair, so she told the staff member she was welcome to put it all back on the shelf.
Totally agree.
They already had a girl working a proper till, but she was only willing to do a refund for a lady who’d bought the wrong batteries.
Don’t care how ‘cheap’ the goods are (and they’re not a ‘Pound’ in that store any more). If you force folk to use self-service tills, you don’t deserve any business. Not just from disabled customers either.
Can guarantee the millionaire owners/board are not on minimum wage, or using self-service tills.

I've been dealing with a local vacation rental company to sort out our accommodations booking before we head up island on Thursday afternoon. The past 2 days have been a bit frustrating because I suspect they're using AI to do auto-reply with emails. I had to keep asking same questions & not getting answers needed. I kept receiving almost exactly the same replies for 2 days. I got fed up & sent an email stating that their email communication seems to be AI, which isn't helpful; it's costing more time without providing adequate answers to specific questions. I demanded that a human being respond or I'll just cancel entire booking & go stay elsewhere. Within 15 minutes of me sending that email, they ceased using AI to communicate with me & gave human contact. I received an apology & was able to get our booking details all sorted in less than 7 minutes.
Keep #CustomerService human being powered. #AI can't help customers as well as humans can. It's more time effective to have people not AI do customer service work.
