The goal was a healthy fish meal at Kenny's. 🚴‍♀️ But it started to drizzle. I saw that a li'l cafe with an unintentionally #bikeFriendly setup was open. I felt adventurous, so I ended up at this #cafe run by #nuns.

The nun tells me they have 2 meals available today: bakso and chicken rendang. I had to ask what they were. #Indonesian When confused or undecided, go for the chicken! 😜

The #food was alright. My problem was the flimsy disposable utensils.

Ran into an old college barkada at the buffet line. 😃

Visited a small #cafe owned by a fellow former seafaring photographer. Hung out a while. Got gifted with a 1-liter bottle of cold brew. 🧊☕ 😯

Rode 🚴‍♀️ to the grand opening of a new gym to support an acquaintance in his new business venture. Received a free 500g bag of oats. 👍

I'd say my Saturday morning was pretty productive. 😄

I see a lot about #CarFree #BikeFriendly cities, but honestly I think the only way towards drastically reducing car dependency is great public transport. Not bikes.

The focus on cars vs "lighter traffic" as bikers & pedestrians is one thing, but ignored is the bike vs pedestrians.

There are places (especially underpassages) in Oslo I am kinda terrified of walking, due to "high speed bikers"

Bikers are generally way less likely to stop for pedestrians at pedestrian crossing than drivers. Again, in Oslo, I need to mind bikers WAY more than I need to mind cars when I walk.

Care must be taken to not remove one problem for pedestrians by introducing a new one.

And, again, being able to bike, specially a city, is something many people are not able to do. A too narrow focus on a form of transport that excludes disabled is #ableist

We need #accessible dependable public transport.

This, btw, also means accessible, dependable public restrooms in connection with the public transport.

Last night's ride around campus wasn't so hard. #PedalAssist really helps! 😄

The theme was scary stories. We stopped by buildings that are known (rumored) for #ghost sightings. 👻 #UrbanLegends

The highlight was dinner and happily hanging out at the very #bikeFriendly #UniversityHotel after the ride. 🤪🍻☕
