Weil ich es so oft sehe:
Auch bei Accounts die schon lange hier sind.Hier ein Screenshot der eigenen Zusatzfelder im Menü "Profil bearbeiten" der App @Tusky.
In den Feldern "Bezeichnung" wurde jeweils der Name, in den Feldern "Inhalt" wurde der Link mit vorangestelltem https://di.day/ anstelle von www.di.day eingeben. Hierdurch werden die Links clickbar.
Im Browser demnach auf der Linken Seite Titel/ Bezeichnung, auf der rechten Seite den richtig formatierten Link.

I can’t access larger fediverse or local feed AT ALL. Isn’t this the whole value of the fedi? It’s not visible in basic interface. is this happening for others?
I’m with mastodon.social. The main one.

However, whichever town you choose, you can still talk to people in other cities through the internet.
And if you decide you don't like the town you're in, you can relocate.
Also don’t forget, it's relatively painless to move to a new server. Far less difficult than relocating to a new town.

We hadn't got around to listing Ghost, for a few reasons (backlog, and the headscratcher of AP support being a tack-on module), so we won't for now.

I've always meant to post this and it just keeps slipping my mind, because it's such a minor thing. But it is hugely annoying (Hey, #Mastodon folk, something easy to fix!).
If you open someone's profile because you want to see things they've posted, you'll think you're in luck, because it opens on the "Posts" category.
But you're not getting what you think you're getting. If the person is anything like me, they boost a lot more things than they post - and boosts appear in this "Posts" category, too.
What you want is the next category over, "Posts and replies". That will be only things they've posted, either as standalone posts or in response to others' posts.
So for posts, go to "Posts and Replies", not "Posts". And if that makes sense to you, I'm not sure we can be friends anymore 😉

🎬 I know a lot of people struggle with posting videos on Mastodon as the file limits can be very strict, so here's my guide:
🗑️ 1. There's a million tutorials about video compression, but unless you're interested in the technical details, you can ignore them.
📥 2. Go and download Handbrake, a free open source video converter that works on Linux, Win and Mac: https://handbrake.fr/
📂 3. Open it and drop your video file in.
🎛️ 4. Ignore all the complicated settings, instead find the preset button/dropdown.
🎞️ 5. Select a preset: I recommend 'very fast 720p' to make your vid even smaller. It'll still look good, I promise!
📽️ 6. Set a file name and click "Start". Wait for the bar to finish and then your new video is ready to be posted!
🗜️ About 1min of video should be around 6mb this way, which is smaller than most animated gifs!
