  1. 🎰 Breaking News: When you throw free money at gamblers, they... gamble more! 🤑 Thanks, #University #of #Captain #Obvious, for this groundbreaking revelation that would astonish a #toddler. Who knew the best way to get people to gamble more was to bombard them with offers? 🙄

  2. Ever wondered about #arithmetics in #JavaScript?

"For the most part, Javascript #numbers are double-precision floating point, so need to be treated the same as you would floating point numbers in any other language.

However, Javascript also provides bitwise and #shift operations, which first convert the operands to 32-bit #signed 2s-complement values. This can have #surprising consequences when either the input or result has a magnitude of more than 231."

  3. There seems to be this mild trend in #music in recent years of #musicians going #heavier and people acting like it was so incredibly #surprising and #unexpected.

The most obvious one right now is Sleep Token. For whatever reason people seem so surprised that the stuff from the past month is so heavy. but really I don’t get the surprise. They’ve always been heavy, yes Vessel hasn’t screamed as much, but it’s always been obvious he’s going that way and is either building up to it for artistic purposes or just still learning how to get to the things that he’s been doing lately. But honestly, there’s nothing stylistically surprising in the last few tracks. They are fucking awesome and I love them all, but they really are very much stylistically Sleep Token all the way, no dramatic departure from what they’ve been doing so far.
