The difficult bit is that my favourite part of the research is already over. I loved designing the method, conducting the research, and seeing the results come together. Now I have to turn it all into a clear, readable text.

I do seem to have pulled my writing speed up from its previous ~450 words per hour to something more like 650 or maybe a teeny bit more. That's encouraging.

Woah, I was not expecting that particular character to go on a rant of righteousness, or to go that hard on breaking the rules.
It doesn't entirely fail to fit with the arc they're on. And I'm not upset; if anything, my surprise is at least slightly positive, not negative. But I wasn't expecting this development, or the way it ties in with some of the book's themes.
Still, it helps me feel like I might be on the right track.
