I photographed Little Tahoma Peak from the Sunrise area of Mount Rainier National Park early one July morning.
I liked how the sunlight brought out the rugged rock formations while clouds drifted across the glaciers below. The evergreen trees on either side made a natural frame for the mountain.
It was a beautiful morning to be up in the mountains. 🏔️📷

A dried-up lakebed after a record-breaking dry summer.
Nature has already reclaimed the lakebed from the water. Apart from the small patch visible in the photo, where water managed to hold on until just a few days ago, the entire lakebed is now covered in dense terrestrial vegetation.

May 17, 1983: I finally made my way back to the shelter — no rides, so it was another 3-mile walk in Fontana.
