Behind me is the trail to Mt. Sentinel and Pengelly Ridge.
On the left, beside the broken sign, is the trail down to Hellgate Canyon.
Back left is the trail up to University Peak. Back right descends to Pattee Canyon.

We're exploring a park close to home that I didn't know was there. It's a state park, undeveloped officially, but mountain bikers have done their own thing for a very long time and trails are well maintained. If you stay off the bike trails it's a great place to run the dogs and find cool isolated forest things. We ran into a few locals and their doggos who were really kind and welcomed us to their mostly unknown space! Anyway, one of the bike trails is named "Shart". #lol #Trails #Dogs
